This cotton fabric is light, silky and a great value for the price.
I worked in the men's dress shirt industry so I am familiar with the finest cotton broadcloth fabrics from around the world. While this fabric is a bit thinner than most men's shirting, it is of excellent quality. It is almost too good to use for the craft projects for which I bought it. It's ideal for clothing, however, and would make a gorgeous blouse or dress.

Decent cotton broadcloth....
As a quilter I am always looking for good fabric to use as as quilt backing every bit as much as I am for the top. The every shrinking width of the normal cotton you buy from a bolt at the store has been a source of frustration for me. This fabric caught my eye first because of the yardage options and then when I saw the 57” width versus the usual 42” or sometimes even less. Since I mostly make lap quilts and the occasional twin size I ordered the 2 yard length in a nice shade of gray. The fabric is cotton in a broadcloth weave that works with most of my quilting projects. It is fairly lightweight but not overly see-through even when held up to a light. As it is broadcloth it not the absolute softest but it is by no means scratchy – mostly just a nice smooth finish. It does not seem prone to raveling and can be easily cut. I love the medium gray color and I find both it and the fabric in general to be quite versatile. Overall I like the fabric and I would order it again in different colors and even in the same one if I needed it....As a quilter I am always looking for good fabric to use as as quilt backing every bit as much as I am for the top.
