The Incredible Twisting Arm (Magic Shop Series, 2)

My kids have really enjoyed this series! I bought them even though my girls are a bit too old for them, but they loved the main character and the magic intertwined in the stories. I'd think a young reader would love them (with read-along help) and I know my kids (4th and 6th) still found them to be fun, although they weren't challenging (my kids tend to read more YA fiction these days). My crew ate them up and would be happy to read more from the Magic Shop!!! I would recommend for boys or girls, K-5.

7year old loved the entire series!

More fun with the loveable character who struggles with ADHD. He has found his niche in the art of learning magic, and he gains new friends and confidence along the way. Books contain directions for magic tricks.

My boys love this series (see my full review under The Vanishing Coin). In this book, in particular, I think my sons really enjoyed the pictures so they could better understand the twisting arm trick. These books wouldn't be the same without the illustrations, and the art helps bridge the gap between shorter chapter books and middle-grade books that are coming in our future.

What a great book for kids !It helps them learn a skill , while teaching them how to interact with other kids .

My 8-year-old son devours these stories...and then entertains us with the magic tricks he learns.

A wonderful book for children of all ages. My ten year old triplets all enjoy them, and have fun learning the tricks that are taught during the course of the story. We all cannot wait to see what adventures Mike & Nora get into in books 3 & 4.

One of the books for the reading challenge in British Columbia

Speedy delivery to Denmark. Book arrived earlier than expected. Got this after reading Vanishing Coin. Very interesting book for kids who love magic and the book has great examples of tricks to try. So it is not just reading the book together but also to try the tricks together.
