The Beadsmith No-Tangle Thread Bobbins, String Organizer, Ideal for Kumihimo or Cord Management (1 7/8 Inches, Set of 8)

I saw these recommended on a youtube vid. I ordered and now I don't know how I ever worked without them. I create wire woven jewelry. I use different metals and colors. The thinner (28ga +/- 2) wire is now kept on these bobbins for easy and fast use. The bobbins fit very well in my hand, they are light and easy to work with. The wire stays organized and untangled. They are well made, flexible and the best part, imo, when you fold them into the use shape, they lock around the wire so you don't loose spools that roll off the table ect. I say lock, but it is a gentle lock. The wire comes out very easily as I am working with it, but it does not come out unexpectedly. HIGHLY Recommend.

I purchased these to use with kumihimo, but I think they would be useful for macrame as well. These are soft plastic spools that can be closed after you wind the thread, yarn, cord or whatever you are using. They are very easy to open when you need to unwind more cord as you go. I think they are reasonably priced.

I know most that buy these will use for kumihimo, but I got these for making wire weaving jewelry, so you can coil the wire without bending or kinking it. I am thinking I may also use this for colorwork in my knitting as well, as my "figure-8" yarn often falls open. This would keep the yarn secure and untangled. It's always nice when you find a craft tool that you can use for more than one craft.

These are the first BOB-EEZ, size 1 7/8 I have purchased using Amazon or any online retailer. I read the reviews and these are as I expected from other buyers reviews. Key points from reviews that I read. Bobbins all open and close without any issues or weakness. The label definitely does appear to be a reproduction or counterfeit of the original. The edges of the bobbins are not clean, however, they are not sharp and shouldn't cause any funtional issues. Several of them also have very visibly crooked/weak seam lines in them. This could cause them to break with use or wear very quickly. They feel more like flexible "plastic" than silicone and are a little slick, winding them might not be as easy as described. I will update after a week or two with ease of use and how wear. Overall, the price matches the quality. I am satisfied with the purchase upon receipt.

These are very helpful for managing long strands of weaving wire. They are just the right design and are easy to open and close. They hold a lot of wire!

I had previously purchased weighted bobbins (not from this seller), which turned out to be WAY heavier than I needed for my purposes, so I am very glad to have a lovely lightweight set.
