Keeping the Sun from heating the car
Lamicall sun shade for the windshield is a must have for summer. It is portable and can be folded to fit in your glovebox or hanging off hooks in the car. It does not take too much space as it is flexible and can twist nicely to fit in a bag.The summer heat and sunshine is not that great for your vehicle. The sunlight will fade out the interior and also cause the car to be extra hot and humid. With the Lamicall sun shade it can easily be brought out to solve the issue. It is not bulky like some older versions of the sun shades that fold up like an accordion. The sun shade is thin but works well to block out the sunlight. It is a bit wrinkly and did have a strong new plastic material chemically smell when I just received it. I left it out in the open for a few days and it helped with the scent issue, but the wrinkles are still there. The wrinkles do take away from the appearance while it is open to cover your windshield, but it is something that is a trade off for space saving. The sun shade stays in place better if you use the sun visors to keep it in place. The edges can be adjusted to have the best coverage. I do find the car a little less humid from the direct sun shining inside and heating the car, but it still gets warm inside. It prevents me from having to sit on a hot driver’s seat.

More support needed for the corners.
I will say this - it's absolutely better than nothing. Came tightly vacuum packed in a thin bag and it was kind of an ordeal to slowly peel the material away from itself. Took a good 15 minutes, with the outside layer basically resembling aluminum foil, not the whitish colour in the photos. Unfortunately, there were so many wrinkles in the tissue-paper-thin fabric that it took a full spraying down with warm water and 2 days of heavy books resting on it just to straighten it out. Eventually did straighten out, but it did very little for the wrinkles.Fortunately for me, I was pretty careful when measuring my windshield before ordering (who knew a Toyota Highlander would need a small size?) and the height was pretty much exact, but the width was a little much at the top since the windshield isn't a perfect rectangle. Unfortunately, where this thing falls short is in the corners. There's simply no frame around them to keep them in place and they flop around like lazy dog ears in the sun. It's really no fault of the material itself, just that the framing doesn't extend outside of the inner circles.Packing and unpacking it is easy once you get the hang of it, and it's incredibly portable, easily fitting into the glove compartment. The biggest problem really is getting it onto the windshield - having to reach into every corner just to try and tuck it in there and getting the velcro piece around the rear-view mirror. Certainly won't damage any of the car interior since it's so flimsy, but I would advise caution when reaching over to the passenger side just to try and get at those corners. Like I said, it's certainly better than nothing, but there are much better and more rigid shades out there. This one is only so-so.

Easy to install and fold back up.
The Lamicall Car Windshield Sun Shade is lightweight and easy to fold up. I use this on my full-size pickup, and it fits well. It has a silver reflective outer layer to reflect the heat out and a black inner layer for vehicle darkening. It comes with an outer carrying pouch, but you don’t even really need this if you don’t want. The sunshade has a stretchy fabric band that can be looped around the folded shade to keep it from unfolding.I found it easy to unfold and even fold from the cab of the truck. I didn’t need to get out to use it. To fold back up you just need to fold it in half and give it a twist. It folds into a loop naturally. You can then secure it with the outer elastic fabric and put it in the pouch if you wish. It stores easily beside the seat or in the pocket on the back of the seat.It seems to cling to the windshield, but the sun visor can be flipped down to hold it better. There is a hook and loop fastener strip to secure it around the rear-view mirror. It did have a very strong chemical smell when I got it, but I just left it unfolded on the porch overnight and the smell went completely away.Overall, a nice shade to reflect the sun out of your truck and keep the UV off of your dash.

A bit thin and annoying to pack away
Make sure to measure your windshield before ordering. There is some buffer in the sizing but the 2 metal rings will only really allow ~8" less in the length and maybe ~4" less in the height. The size small I ordered was ~2" short in the height but it still works well as the larger size would've been too long in length. The material of this product is quite thin and doesn't seem all that durable. I worry about longevity because of the constant twisting and flattening to repack it but we'll see. Also, repacking it is a bit annoying and will take some practice before you can do it quickly and effectively. The good thing is it does pack down quite small to store in the glove compartment.I think that because of how thin the material is, This windshield shade probably won't keep as much heat out of the car as one that's more heavily insulated. But it is portable and lightweight.

It's just okay, flimsy, and puzzle to store.
I have a pretty small sedan and the thing doesn't reach top to bottom. Edge to edge is okay though. Just barely reaches. It's also not like the picture which envisions a square-ish look. It's more like two circles with very flimsy edges that flap around. It falls down the windshield unless propped up properly because it feels too short.Putting the thing back together is a puzzle. Took me several attempts, I recommend you practice it a bit when you get it. You got to twist it on itself twice which the manual does a poor job of explaining.Overall it's okay, I would maybe stick with the harder ones that fold like an accordion. They take more storage room but are easier to put up and less flimsy.Heat resistant wise I guess it's okay? It's very very thin. Not sure if that's a good thing for trying to block heat from penetrating through.
