Excellent product at a good price
I bought this as a gift for my husband. It has been many years since he used an electric razor. He is absolutely delighted with this. No noise or very little, excellent smooth shave, excellent quality, very easy to clean with the brush provided and charging speed very good. He now wonders why he did not get one years ago. I would definitely recommend this product as it is well worth the price and it also comes with a lovely case, brush and extra heads so very good value for money. Just get it you won't be disappointed. I did a lot of research before I bought this one but I feel I picked an excellent electric razor.

Great shaver
My husband was very happy with the quality, shaving time and smoothness. It was easy to use with no skin irritation. He shaves dry and says it's easy to clean. It was a great value especially with the extra set of blades. It came with a beard attachment but he only has a mustache so hasn't used it. It came with a case but no charging stand. I was glad it came with a plug in charging cord instead of like some that only had a USB plug in capability. The charge lasted a long time.

Husband can't be without it
This is my husbands third shaver. He loves this brand and has been using Phillips for a few decades. He has a very thick beard, handlebar moustache and must shave daily. The heads do wear out after about two years of daily use. This razer works great on his hair removal and gets a close and clean shave. The design is very comfortable and the charging speed is acceptable. He did at one point order replacement heads but the cost was just a bit less than buying a new shaver. Now he keeps getting a new shaver when the blades get dull.

Five stars or Four -- such a dilemma
I hate shaving my d@mn face, but I've never had enough therehair to make for an attractive beard. So I shave. When I must. When I ABSOLUTELY must (when I stop getting kisses, permission to kiss or even her willingness to tolerate me putting my face in any of the other places it wants to go ;-). You get the point, shaving for me is a VERY necessary evil, but not a daily routine.Way back when (a 'few' decades ago) I started with a 2-head Norelco. As long as I slathered the Williams Lectric Shave on first, it was fine (even though the alcohol fumes nearly knocked me out every time). So...I switched to blades, back to electric, back to blades and then finally resigned myself to keeping both on hand and using whichever one was convenient in the moment of my (or more likely her) necessity.Probably as a result of my reticence/tardiness in keeping my face smooth and ready -- over the last couple of decades I kept getting new electric razors for birthdays, christmas and (yes) for Valentine's Day. A guy needs to learn to take a hint, right? At Christmas I got this one (and the hint) from my long-suffering wife. I was immediately surprised by how fast it gets gets me shaved cleanly, even without the alcohol fumed face-lube!Now I'm going through all the 'spare' Norelco electric shavers I still own, hoping to find one that can stay handy on my nightstand) and learning that for MOST of them, I can no longer buy new or upgraded blades from Philipps-Norelco. Do I REALLY have to figure out how to dispose of all these bits of electronic/metallic toxic refuse that are the result of my occasional need for a smooth face?Dear Norelco, please don't treat every customer as if shaving was a daily ritual. I don't want to have to replace (and recycle) it every time you come up with better blades. That said, this new one is absolutely the best one I've ever used.

Incredible improvement over 20+ year old razor.
I had read many shaver reviews to figure out what I wanted. One of them did a comparison of all current Norelco shavers. Put the 5000 series as a mid range, the 6000 being essentially the same, only the 'options' being different. I went with the 6000 as it included an extra set of blades - a $35ish value.I had been using an old Norelco 8160 or something like that. Can't tell you how much better the new razor is. It shaves closer, is more comfortable and quieter. If you are umming and arring over whether or not to replace an older unit, my sincere advice is "Don' Wait". I should have done this years ago!!

A Really Good Electric Razor!
Had to replace my hubby's worn out electric razor. He loves this Phillips I got him. His face was so smooth with it. He does occasionally use Lectric Shave and it's even closer and smoother. Really happy with this and hope it lasts a very long time. Comes with additional replacement heads too. Nice price and even better than his Norelco. Good for trimming sideburns too.

The Norelco 6600 is mediocre at best
Mediocre at best. Here's why:1. There is no pop-up trimmer. That is false advertising.2. Given the head design, it is not possible to shave close around the nose.3. The plug-in trimmer is very loud; it vibrates excessively; and is annoying.4. The plastic protective covering for the plug-in trimmer is very difficult to remove.5. The rotary blades rattle and vibrate.6. The shaver must be charged from its own charger. There is no USB port. So, for traveling, I have one more item to take along. There was one positive point. The shaver gave me a very comfortable shave with minimal pinching and pulling, although it was not a particularly close shave. BTW, I got five shaves per charge--not bad.Overall, the shaver is mediocre in my opinion. It is certainly not worth $100. Several no-name shavers give as good or better performance, with better features, for half that amount. My grandson broke his shaver last week. I gave him this one. I am buying myself a Panasonic.
