5 years outside in southeast Kansas. Never brought in. Color has maintained. No mildew. Easy to clean by spraying with a hose. A screw comes loose sometimes allowing it to pivot from where I want it, but tighten it back up and it's good to go. It is now showing wear and tear after it was left open and a storm came. Blew it into the porch and ripped a little. I do not feel it reflects negatively on the quality but does show it's durability. I am impressed with this umbrella and plan to purchase another. Tip: if you are in an area that gets windy definitely get a nice heavy base. Cinderblocks only work short term. And close it if there is going to be a storm.

TLDR: Easy Assembly. Low cost, quality and longevity remains questionable.UPDATE: After a couple weeks of what I would call casual use, the plastic guard preventing the mechanism from going too far upwards and letting the umbrella too low, broke and fell out of its place completely with the weight of the umbrella pushing it up the pole, scratching it along the way. ALSO, it doesn't even work as an umbrella, as water just drips right down the center assembly underneath the umbrella. I have a hammock under mine right now and I was pretty surprised when i felt the center of it and it was sopping wet after a light rain. Not sure whats happening there, might be related to the umbrella hanging too low.Changing review from 3 starts to 1 star, and will probably request a return or replacement.*original review*Pros: Very easy to assemble, very easy to operate, does exactly what you expected it to do.Neutral: if your area isn't PERFECTLY balanced on a horizontal plane facing the umbrella, it will lean off to the side. Old umbrella was not this noticeable, but this is easily solved by slightly rotating the base. The way that offset umbrellas are designed makes this pretty negligible considering gravity will always balance out the umbrella portion.Cons:Wobbly. I understand offset umbrella's have a bit of play, but this is a little more than whats expected; Definitely not a deal breaker though, no issues from this, just an observation.*Con which prompted review*After a bit of use (less than 2 weeks), the mechanism that locks the umbrella in its height position very quickly lost a bit of its former vigor and when you lock the umbrella towards the beam's highest position, the mechanism does not have enough hold to keep it in place, and the assembly slides upwards.*My solution*I'm probably going to have to buy a locking Oil Filter wrench and see if I can use that to keep it locked in position on the pole. The issue with this is that it obviously is going to scratch it up like crazy over time, but I don't see much of a choice being that the entire pole/arm/umbrella assembly is provided as one factory assembled piece.Love offset umbrellas and I want to give this a better review, which I would have if the lever was better at locking it in position.

This pool umbrella looks really nice and was super easy to install 🌞👍. The only issue is that it has a tendency to tip over, especially with even a little bit of wind. I definitely recommend buying some weights for the base—and honestly, you’ll need extremely heavy ones because of how offset the design is. With proper support it works great, but without it, it’s just not stable enough. Overall, I’m giving it 4 stars because it does look great and provides shade, but it definitely needs reinforcement.

This umbrella comes as advertised. It seems solidly built and assembly is easy. It is large and you will need some decent room on your patio/deck to make it work. I think some of the problems noted in negative comments have been fixed by adding support "wings" to the base tube and stronger parachute cord for the cable. I was amused by the negative comments that mentioned that the umbrella wasn't stable. This type of offset system MUST include weights on the legs or it will not stand up. The weights are clearly not included with the umbrella and there is a combo deal to by both together. Even with this additional cost the price of the total set up is VERY reasonable when you do some comparison shopping. Finally, if you can't take care of your purchase by lowering it when not in use, taking it in for the winter or buying a cover, or not raising it during hurricane winds, you probably deserve whatever happens to it. Take reasonable care of it and you'll be happy.
