I got them as gift for an 11 y.o. and they said that the pearls were slightly too small [but they kept the gift]. Personally, I thought these were a good size if you want to stack multiple earrings. Tiny, but noticeable.

My friend had large pearl earrings which she liked, but they were heavy and they would hang. I purchased this more petite size for her and she was pleased with the gift. I trust the Studex brand. It is what was used when I had my ears pierced (I won't say how long ago, LOL), and it is a brand I go back to for allergy-safe earrings and quality that holds up. I've misplaced them, but they're pretty indestructible. The style on this one is a little different, but I'm still pretty confident that they will hold up for my friend for years to come.

These are very nice small studs. If your ears are thick where the holes are you don't want these! That being said, I really like them. They are small enough so they can be used as the second (back) earrings. Delivery was slower than I am used to with Amazon, but when they arrived I was very pleased.

Bought these for my twelve year old who has sensitive ears. While they were great for irritation, we just returned from urgent care because one of the pearls sank into her earring hole and became wedged fully inside of her lobe. The doctor had to numb the lobe and widen the hole with a scalpel to push the pearl back through the front. We had the 4mm size, and will absolutely only use bigger studs in the future. It may just be a fluke, but my daughter asked me to leave a review so no one else had to deal with the same issue.
