The information in this book is top notch. The guy that wrote this book does not hide anything. He is encouraging, but at the same time never lets you think that it will be easy.

We actually hiked with Erick and bought this book after our hike as it had not been puplished yet. It's funny and amazing to see him again in his writing. The book is great! The help and info given is from an actual Kilimanjaro guide so much more reassuring. Also, having experienced it all first hand, if you are planning on hiking Kilimanjaro, you need to read this book. The advice is solid and also gives you a small window into the mind and lives of those living in Tanzania. I would have benefited greatly if I had read it prior to our hike. I didn't have the opportunity but you do. Read it, it's worth your time. J & B

Das Buch liefert wichtige Informationen (so wird sich hoffentlich nachträglich herausstellen) und sorgt definitiv für weitere Vorfreude.Für jeden, der den gleichen Traum verfolgt, eine gute Wahl!

Brilliant book! So much detail, so logically presented, answering a million questions just as you are about to verbalise them. Best buy in a long time!

This book is packed with good information and reads easy. He does not try and sell anything. Just honest, down to earth good advice from a very experienced guide. I high-lighted and took plenty of notes and can't wait to do my climb in October!
