I love this boundary fence. It keeps all my critters where they're supposed to be, and it keeps coyotes out for sure. I'm thinking about going around my whole yard, so I'll be ordering again for sure. The only downside was getting it unraveled; that was a little tough. But once I figured it out, it wasn't too bad.

As far as the construction is involved, it seems fairly solid. The poles are fiberglass and ridged but flexible. The spikes are stout. The netting is constructed of electric polywire for the horizontals (except for the bottom two) and regular nylon for the verticals.. I installed it and tested each horizontal it voltage flows all the way to the very end without any issues. Resistance to UV will be one of my concerns. as I've had issues with polywire in the sun that really only lasts one season before they get brittle. I have no idea how this one is going to react to the UV.Why only 4-stars? It has to do with how it was wrapped, folded, rolled up. It was a major pain getting this thing unrolled. I can think of 99 different ways to package this to aid in installation, but it seems that these guys just picked the one that would cause me the most frustration. I got it installed, but it wasn't without a lot of choice words to say and thinking I'll just send this thing back every two-three feet that I had to stop and untangle things.

The fence is super easy to set up and use. It works amazing for keeping our livestock in and couldn't be happier so far with our purchase. It is super convenient for moving our birds to a new foraging area.

I read the reviews, and I don't agree! It took three hours to untangle and put up. Four or five of the connections were broken. I haven't connected the charger yet. I'd return the fence if it wasn't for the bother to take it down and try to prepare it for shipping.

As a beginner shepherd who just got into raising lambs, I need to make sure that my flock is safe from predators. This is my top priority. Towards this end, I got this set hoping that it will help me save time moving the fence every time a section of pasture needs to be left to rest. I must say that this set of netting has helped me achieve this goal. Here are some key observations:1) The convenience aspect cannot be fully emphasized. The fact that this fence netting can be moved with relative ease is a big game changer for me, a beginner. The ability to easily relocate the fencing allows me to practice rotational grazing and enabling the recently grazed pasture to rest without much fuss. Not to mention the importance of reducing the possibility and high costs that come about from over grazing.2) So far, I have not experienced quality issues from being left outside to withstand the heat, UV rays from the sun and the rain. Time will tell how it holds up, but for now, I believe the mesh is durable enough for my needs.3) Compared to chicken wire, which is way more difficult to move around on a large scale, this mesh netting is very versatile, at least for my relatively simple rotational grazing needs. If charging the mesh netting is necessary for keeping out predators, this mesh netting leaves open the possibility of hooking it up to an electric source to accomplish that goal.Overall, I do recommend this mesh netting for the reasons mentioned above.

Cutting to the chase… I can recommend this livestock electric mesh fencing as long as you carefully consider if the size of the openings will work for your needs. Case in point, the description suggests it can be used for chickens BUT I feel that very young or even small-breed chickens ‘might’ get through the openings, ESPECIALLY if you only intend to energize the fence from dusk to dawn.My Customer experience with the product...I got this to add extra forage area for my medium and large breed chickens, and was able to accomplish that task. The fence reasonably met my expectations as set forth in the product’s description, But that being said, putting this fence up and testing it I found this fence while certainly usable, feels VERY Light-Duty, and leaves me interested to see how well it will hold up. The poles are not very rigid, it took a LOT of staking and roping to get the whole fence tight, and the metal anchor spikes on the posts tended to bend a bit too easily for my taste in our firm clay soil.Pros:+ Packaged well.+ Easy install.+ Good electrical properties (very little voltage drop over its length)Con:- Poles IMHO should be more rigid.- Metal anchor spikes on poles were not as strong as I had hoped.Final Thoughts:An overall ‘economy’ look and feel to the construction. I use this with a mobile chicken coop to move my birds around the property and help keep them protected from predators.The posts have nicely sharpened points to assist in inserting them into the ground. I've had other nets that have posts with flat bottoms and they take a lot more force to put in the ground.

This is advertised for chickens and DOES NOT keep chickens in. Even with it electrified, chickens will still get out.
