This massager is basically a spot massager for the lower back rather than a full-back massager. The shiatsu rollers stay in one location instead of traveling up and down the cushion. The rollers are very comfortable and provide a soothing, relaxing massage. Instead of a remote control, the unit features a simple four-button control panel located on the lower right side of the cushion. I prefer this setup because it makes the massager easy to use in the car with a 12V adapter. The buttons are a little difficult to see, but after using them a few times, they're easy to identify by touch. The top button turns the unit on and off. The second button changes the direction of the shiatsu rollers, with the massage function automatically shutting off after 15 minutes. The third button selects between two heat settings, both of which become pleasantly warm. The fourth button controls the heat timer, allowing you to choose 15, 30, or 60 minutes. There are two adjustable straps on the back to secure the massager to a chair. When you're not using the massage function, the small adjustable pillow can be height adjusted for use as a lumbar support. I own other massage cushions with rollers that travel up and down the back, but this one has become my go-to for targeted lower back relief. I also like to rest the back of my thigh on it to massage tight hamstrings, and it works well on my arms too. It's lightweight, portable, and easy to move wherever you need it, making it a great option for both home and car use.

I absolutely love this pillow! After spending long hours at my desk, I used to end the day with terrible back and neck pain, but this has made such a difference. The pillow naturally encourages proper posture, which has really helped with how I feel throughout the day. The heated massage function is wonderful. I can turn on both the heat and the massage simultaneously, and it feels amazing. One thing to note: you do need to plug it in to use the heat and massage features, so you'll need to be near an outlet. However, the cord is quite long. For me, this isn't an issue since I use it at my office desk. If you spend long days in an office chair and deal with back or neck discomfort, I highly recommend this. It's been worth every penny and has genuinely improved my daily comfort level!

It was great when I bought it, but now a little over a year later, it won't heat. I guess I should have wondered why it was offering a service plan at extra cost. Bummer because I need this for constant back pain from compression fractures.

As a pianist, I'm constantly suffering lumbar pain from long periods of sitting. I use this after practice to relieve my tired back muscles and it definitely helps. The heat understandably takes some time to warm up but feels good once at strength. The shiatsu feature definitely relieves tension. The only negative is the "adjustable" back pillow. It's on an elastic band that is not really adjustable though you can place it where you want then lie back and press into place. Sure, that works but it is annoying to have to reposition it if you have to get up for any reason. It would be better if it were secured by an actual adjustable strap. All in all, I'm happy with the unit despite this small reservation.

My lower back stiffness has been a struggle because of long hours sitting at a desk and of course my age. I have a good chair, but I feel I need more lumbar support and thus I got this pillow. It's very affordable comparing to buying a new chair. I've been using it on my chair for a week now, and it has made a noticeable difference. The memory foam is firm yet not too hard. It fits my back and fills the gap between the chair. I feel my posture is improved with the support, which helps relieving the stress even without the massage and the heating. That said, I enjoy the massage and the heating after sitting long hours, it's soothing and helps loosen tight muscles. And it's convenient, no extra setup and I don't even need to leave my chair. I know long periods of sitting are inherently unhealthy, and I need more stretches and movement. This pillow is not a replacement for a good habit. But it is excellent for lumbar support while I'm sitting. While I always remind myself to stand up, walk and stretch every once a while, it is nice to have some aid from the pillow that can massage and heat to improve comfort. I may even bring it in the car for my next road trip, probably need some adapter for the massage/heat feature. My lower back suffered during the last road trip even with some stops and stretches, I think this pillow could be a game changer.

I have noticed less tension in my upper, middle, and lower back since using it. This cushion works on almost any chair. If you sit for long periods and want better posture, less back pain, and a little extra comfort, this is a great option.

Perhaps I was expecting more. The massage is only mediocre, but the lumbar support and heat element were quite good.
