Calypso

I was reading it and this is a good book so far

Calypso is a gorgeous story, lyrical and heartbreaking, I could not put it down and the imagery will stick with me forever.

Incandescent, evocative and deeply human. You almost have to read every sentence aloud. Such is the brilliance of the writing.

I bought this as I liked the premise and the limited reviews seemed good.What on earth!It’s a Sci- Fi book written as a poem. No seriously…. It is. I did not realise this until I had bought the book. Reading it I initially thought it will go to normal writing soon, but it did not. I am sorry but I found the whole concept pretentious! Why would you do it? All I ended up doing was trying to read the poem as normal prose and I just could not take it seriously or get into it.I got 15% into the book and gave up.
