New Balance Women's 411 V2 Hook and Loop Walking Shoe

I’ve had these shoes for years and they still look almost new. With a high toe box and wide width available there is room for hammertoes and bunions. Easy velcro straps adjust over foot top, good arch support. Best shoes for stability and comfort.

I researched and compared quite a while before I took the plunge for these New Balance walking shoes. I knew when I took them out of the box and put them on they were going to be perfect. First of all they were light weight, I love the hook and loop closure and I could see that they had quite a bit of cushion. I put them in and ahhhhh they felt so good and they were easy to get in too, not a hassle like my old ones, once I slipped them on, I adjusted the Velcro closures and I was ready to go. There’s no break in period, the next morning I was out walking with no problems, no discomfort, no rubbing just support with cushioning. Really that’s all I could ask for. I can’t comment on how long they’ll last because I’ve only had them for three days but I’m hoping I’ll be walking in them for a long time to come.

My old shoes were all worn out and I was absolutely desperate for new shoes. I have a small foot and it is most difficult to find shoes in my size and then due to Covid I have been unable to get out to stores and really search for a suitable pair of sneakers that would fit. In addition, I was prescribed ankle braces which have to fit into my shoes. I first ordered this pair of New Balance shoes in my size. What wonderful and well made and good fitting shoes they are. I then ordered a second pair of these same shoes in a half size larger that my ankle braces would fit in. And WOW!!!! The shoes are absolutely perfect for my ankle braces. These shoes absolutely deserve the 4 star rating I gave them. And, Amazon deserves a 4 star rating also for providing such good quality items at good prices for their customers and for such prompt and delivery of ordered items.

My Mom needed a shoe with good support that went over some heavier socks and the swelling in her feet. She reports that she likes these really well. They are also easy for her to put on by herself. With her limited mobility they worked great.

I'm usually at the gym on a treadmill everyday. However, during this pandemic I'm walking outside as much as possible. I started using my gym-designated walkers outside and found I needed to replace them. I'm a New Balance devotee so I thought I'd try these. Took them out for a 3 mi. walk and they were perfect. I've had a total of 4 foot surgeries and my right foot arch is higher than my left so, what I think is a good fit starting out always needs to be adjusted. The velcro closure on these shoes made adjustments quick and easy. The fit is near perfect but I know it will get better once the shoes get to 'know' my feet and walking pattern. I also found these to be slightly more cushioned than my previous New Balance laced 411s...a good thing for sure. I'll be purchasing these again and would recommend.

This shoe is perfect in fit for me. I have knee problems and these give the support I need.

I have another pair of these shoes. I love them. They are a little "roomy" so I ordered a half size smaller. That made them too short. I attempted to exchange them to learn the exchange would not be an even exchange. I bought them during a tax free weekend in my state. If I exchanged, it would not be an even exchange. I would be charged sales tax. I opted to return the shoes. Not because of any defect in the shoes but because Amazon chose not to do an even exchange. The 5-star rating is for the shoes. A 1-star rating is in order for Amazon. I was not buying another pair of shoes. I was exchanging the ones I had already bought, paid for and received, that were too short.

New Balance shoes are well-made and generally do the job! So when these shoes arrived, I couldn't wait to put them on and get on the treadmill. However, I discovered that two pounds of leather is too heavy for this older woman to wear for walking. Apparently all the mesh Skechers shoes that weigh so little have accustomed my feet to the lighter weight. Sadly, I have to return.

They are comfortable for walking.
