Works fine but uses old tech that not all TVs have.
I ordered this expecting the modern day connections for a DVD player, so did not pay attention to the description.For some reason they are using old tech for you to use this, it has the old AV cable to connect it, it doesn't even have a scart of hdmi port which is strange.That aside, using the cables on an older model tv, it seems to work fine.The build is what you'd expect for something in this price range.It is a lot smaller than a normal DVD player, so much so that it was posted in a big envelope and fit through my letterbox, why they would not package it better, I don't know.Good budget DVD using tech, will use as a spare but as I said, find it strange that it has no other ports for modern day use.

It won’t play some DVDs!
I purchased this cheap DVD player a couple of weeks ago and tested it with a couple of discs and was fine… The problem I encountered was when I decided to have a movie night and tried to play some new DVDs- it just said “disc error”! This happened with multiple discs- some would play fine but some had “disc error”! After a little research I found that this was happening because the DVD player can’t handle the encryption on some officially DVD movies! It’s a bit hit and miss which ones it will play and which ones it won’t!

Cheap backup device for my DVDs
Found that when I wanted to play a DVD on the main TV that we had no DVD player anymore so bought this to extend the DVDs life and save me replacing them. Works fine using the component cables to the TV.

No HDMI port
A little disappointed as there was no HDMI port on the unit.
