Top of the Line
This keyboard is excellent. It has a lot of dampening foam in it, and I mean a lot. This makes the keyboard have a deep thocky sound profile if you combine it with the right switches (I put the Gateron Milky Yellow's in it). The keycaps take some getting used to (KSA very tall profile), but they make the keyboard have a deeper sound. The stabilizers are excellent. I don't think I have ever heard and felt better stabilizers in a stock board. The overall build quality is also very premium. The keyboard feels very well made and hefty. Lastly, configuring the software for this keyboard is very easy. You just go to the website that Keychron provides you in the box and customize to your heart's content. No programs running in the background, no downloading software that doesn't work. This keyboard is on the expensive side, but you are paying a premium price for a premium product. If you are in the market for a premium custom keyboard, then look no further.

Premium keyboard, solid functionality. Okay switch and keycaps.
There is little else out there that ticks as many boxes as the Keychron Q max boards. The construction is solid and feels premium. The switches and keycaps are only okay, but they are not the selling point of this board IMO. There do exist more premium keyboards (at higher prices), but they don't have wireless, certainly not a reliable one. If you need a zero glitch wireless keyboard that feels premium, right now this is pretty much it.You can invest in premium switches and keycaps and get a fantastic keyboard (I opted for Boba U4t 67g plus Mode Anthracite).

Great, but I'm not sure it's worth the price over the V1
I have this keyboard's much less expensive sibling, the V1 Max, as well. It retails for less than $100 - it is currently $85 as of this writing. This keyboard, the Q1 Max is $230. I love Keychron keyboards (this is my third) and so I'm really glad I was able to get this via the Vine program. However, I would not buy this vs the V1 Max if I were paying for it out of pocket. It's important to not get me wrong here, this is a great, HEAVY, well-built keyboard. However, the V1 Max is the exact same layout and switches for only around 37% of the price of this thing. I can definitely appreciate the build quality of this. It is built SOLID. It feels premium to the touch because it's all-metal (keycaps excluded, obviously,) I like the sculpting of the keycaps on this model very slightly better, but those things are not enough for me to justify $230 vs $85.If you have this kind of money to spend on a keyboard, chances are you are an enthusiast and are going to be looking at something you put together yourself or customize extensively and not this device. If you are looking for something good for its price, I highly recommend the V1. If the price on this is ever adjusted down to something more reasonable, I'll tack that 5th star onto my review, but I just can't right now because I don't see the value being there when something that is the same layout and switches costs 37% of this thing's cost, with the only real difference I can tell being metal construction.

I love it!
I'm extremely satisfied with the Keychron Q1 Max RGB QMK/VIA Custom Mechanical Keyboard with Full Metal Programmable Knob. It combines premium construction with advanced customization, resulting in a keyboard that's as functional as it is stylish. If you're looking for a high-quality mechanical keyboard that you can tailor to your needs, this is an outstanding choice. I highly recommend it for its build quality, versatility, and excellent typing experience. You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

Not what I ordered!
I ordered a new Keychron Q1 Max Keyboard with Gateron Red Switches from the Keychron Store. The delivery showed up on time (same day), but you can imagine my surprise and anger when I opened what appeared to be a brand new box and plastic wrapping only to find a used, dirty EPOMAKER TH80 keyboard inside (in addition to the fact that all the accessories were missing). I don't know whether to blame Amazon or Keychron, but this is either a case of horrible quality control, or outright fraud. Hence the one star review.I immediately called Amazon support, and was pleasantly surprised with the representative's extremely helpful response. I asked for a replacement, which they immediately shipped. The replacement, which arrived in a new box (shrink-wrapped this time) was exactly what I expected -- high quality build, responsive keys, and excellent documentation. I would give the second one a five star review.

Wireless is terrible
The wireless connection is terrible. Totally quit working. The online interface doesn't work on either PC or Mac, so there's no way to update the wireless firmware. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS NON-EXISTENT. Good build though. Wired works fine.

Very well built
Coming from Keychron, who is known for making some killer boards, you already assume this will be a well built option and it very much is. It's a heavy, thick boy with some great sounding key presses. I went with the Gateron Reds and they have a great low, linear sound. The board layer on layer of foams, pads, and gaskets, making is a "solid" sounding device. No hollow plastic sound. Sounds of quality. The RGB is smooth and has the usual setting options. All of the connection options worked perfectly for me when testing them. Zero noticeable lag in the wireless options, although I tend to leave my boards wired just out of habit. The only downside I'd say is it is a bit pricey. There are some on the market for cheaper that seem like they'd be roughly the same. Either way, it's another Keychron you'd more than likely be happy with.

My FAVORITE KEEB!!
Keychron is my absolute favorite favorite keeb I've ever used. Smooth depresses on the key. VERY heavy aluminum which is my personal favorite. You can use for Mac or Windows (literally don't know why you'd use it for Mac If your gaming tho.The "thock" is one in a million. Quality is perfect. Best value and best keyboard I've ever had in my life. This is my 2nd Keychron and I plan to have many many more!!
