Drill pump heavy duty for oil and fluids suitable for all drills TE472

My first impression was that this pump is too small to be any good, but I was wrong. It worked perfectly and didn't leak a drop from its seals.I needed to transfer ~500L of heating oil from various containers into drums, so I bought this TE472 drill pump, some half-inch rubber hose, and a pack of hose clamps. I fastened the last two feet of the intake hose onto a metal pole so that I could easily control where it goes (e.g. to the bottom of the source container), and I started pumping.At first I tried using my cordless drill, but it didn't spin fast enough. It initially moved some oil (slowly), but after I stopped to change batteries, the pump wouldn't even prime itself. I switched to a corded drill, which apparently spins much faster, and this pump worked great.Once I used a faster drill, the flow rate was somewhere just above 12L per minute, as I transferred 200L of oil in around 15.5 minutes. Overall I used this for just over 500L with no issues. I would highly recommend this pump for a project like this one.

Pumped 200L of heating oil from one tank to another without too much of an issue. Arrow markings could be a bit bigger/clearer especially when hose fitted. No marking to show which way the spindle should turn so got a little be messy to start with. Cheap and cheerful

This item is useless. I tried to use it to empty the bottom of a hot tub. It could not lift the water over the side. I have used drill pumps before with no problem and this was to replace the one i had before which worked fine for 2 years. Don't waste your money on this substandard product

Outstanding value. This pump shifted 900 litres without a break from one backup to my main oil tank. I attached it to a mains powered drill with 2 sections of garden hose. Ran it on a clockwise drill rotation. I primed the hose from the donator tank to the pump with heating oil, switched the drill on and locked the switch down ( my de Walt drill has a button to do this) . Drill on for a couple of hours non stop. This little pump delivered a decent flow for the whole time. Amazing product. Just prime it, don’t run it dry. Make sure the drill is rotating in the right direction. Brilliant!!

The bit which goes into the drill is smooth so it keeps slipping.

Not self priming, once fluid was drawn through to start the process, then it worked as hoped. Just used my cordless and off and way we went. Warning... The rotational arrows are wrong.
