RAK Wireless RAK12500 GNSS GPS Location Module + Antenna

Why did you pick this product vs others?: works perfectly on rak r1 BUT MISSING THE LITTLE SCREW....

I bought this to add to my RAKwireless WisBlock Meshtastic Starter Kit US915 Base RAK19007 + Core RAK4631. Running the latest Meshtastic firmware and it was recognized without any issues. My only gripe is that I couldn't find the small screw that you use to attach it to the 19007 base board.

This was a very affordable GPS solution as I put together my first Meshtastic node. It was really as simple as attaching the tiny little antenna connector to my pre-flashed transceiver board and placing the unit near a window. I had an amazingly accurate position fix within seconds.

This thing is soo tiny. Very accurate and finds loads of satellites no problem, even while indoors it does well. Very impressed with this. The power draw is very minimal and my RAK device still takes a few days to die on a 2500 mAH battery.

RAKwireless makes some awesome low power devices to perform a variety of functions/applications. I used this device with Meshtastic firmware, to add my area, to the growing MESH of low powered text based communication community using an app (available for android or iOS) on your cell phone or tablet linked via Bluetooth to the wireless node (this device) which communicates using the 900mhz radio band to other nodes. Linking together to broaden the “mesh” coverage. Brilliant! Just buy your equipment of choice, no license required, no other fee’s and start communicating. Excellent quality equipment and support is very good. Rokland is a distributor in the US. DIY kit or completed units available as well as a worldwide community of users and developers. Makes a great gift too. Cell towers are not needed but can add to versatility. Got a gadget person in your life? Get them a great gift. Community is growing, be a part of it!
