Knightsbridge HCW White Hole Converter Kit

These spotlights are amazingly amazing.I took out the old light which were the big chrome balls only to find gu10 standard bezels are too small. I bought 5 of these and put them on a 85mm cut out. Fit perfectly fine. They also worked with the bulbs I bought which were the 5 pack from toolstation.The biggest downside of these were the instructions. As everyone else said in the reviews these instructions are useless!! COMPLETELY. They dont have a video anywhere either so it left down to me to figure out. First time putting them on so I knew no better all ready to send the whole lot back.I then read the first review here then realised how to fit them. They worked a gem. Wish this company would update their instructions on these.5* for product0* for instructions

I tried a couple of other products unsuccessfully before I came across this one. The product is excellent and once assembled easily fixes to the ceiling. However the product assembly is difficult using the instruction supplied. A reviewer included a couple of pictures of the assembled unit. I used these rather the instructions and everything went fine. If the supplier added a couple of photos to the instructions the product would be excellent all round.

Bought these to cover up over-large holes in the plasterboard around downlighters (due to poor quality builders). They work well, albeit a bit fiddly to fit, but once you figure out the knack it is quite straightforward to install them. Once in, they look great.

A bit tricky to fit the first one but when you get the 'hang of it' they are easy and look good.

These solved my problem - the idiotic previous owners of my flat had replaced the 12V downlights for 240V ones and inexplicably enlarged the holes. Doh. So the downlights were hanging out of the ceiling, it looked fab, not.Anyway - these solved the problem when I worked out how to install them. The instruction appear to be written in English but don't make much sense - it truly is a case where a picture would tell a thousand words.My saviour was this video. My inability to understand the language it is in didn't matter. It had a picture! =[...]

As pretty much everyone here said, the product is great but the manual is awful. Didn’t understand anything, really grateful for the person who did the review with the photos and explanation, that was really helpful. I only ordered 1 but now I know how to install it I’m going to order few more. So glad my downlight is not falling out of the oversized hole anymore!

Very useful if the plasterboard around the light fitment is beginning to crumble. This bridges the gap and is not at all obtrusive once installed.

Did a neat job of replacing my old R80 downlighters. Installation was simple, with only one minor problem: the LED GU10 bulbs, I used, required a fair amount of force to insert far enough to allow the circlip to locate in its groove. I'm not sure whether this is a fault of the bulb or the holder but wasn't a major problem anyway. The completed installation looks much nicer than the old R80's with the added advantage, with the LED bulbs, of using less electricity.
