Airflo Fly Fishing Kit

Decided to give fly fishing a go after years of lugging carp fishing gear around. As a starter kit this was perfect, the chosen lake had a shop on site just in case, didn't need it. The case contains rod and sturdy case,reel already loaded with fly line and leader, couple of flies. Also contains a pair of polaroid sunglasses which I did bin and used my own. The price is as good as you're going to get, the same set although different brand name was in the shop for £140 !!!! If you're considering taking it up, together with this kit I'd buy a couple of trout flies, wellies and a decent set of polaroids. PS. I didn't catch but am now over the newbie casting issues. Tight lines.

Good product great value

The rod itself is carbon and good quality and the line is a good budget line and quality brand. Only comes with 3 flies which I think was a disappointment and the cordura tube is decent although a section for the reel could have been included as you will have to strip it right down after use.The fly line can coil up and the most important thing is to grease the inside of the reel before you first try it. If not, any water from the line can end up in the reel so it becomes jammed easily and hard to turn.Overall very good but could have been a bit better hence 4 stars. It should last a long time and provide great fun fishing small to large fish. If you are not sure which size or weight to get, go in between. The 9 foot 6/7 weight is very versatile for rivers to lakes and line is heavy enough for easy to learn casting.

bought this for daughter (11). pretty impressed with the rod given the price. very pleased.Not ideal for a serious fisher person, but pretty good for the average fishing trip.

I've come back to fly fishing after a 10 year break (don't ask), rod and reel are good considering how cheap this starter kit is highly recommend you refit backing line and floating line yourself use YouTube if you don't know how really simple. 3 flies which probably won't be used same with glasses but ultimately your paying for the rod,reel and line which are all good so overall a good purchase😊 Tight lines guys

I havent fly fished for over 25 years and had an urge to try it again, the set came within two days . I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the box, the rod in the set was made well felt great in the hand and was well balanced with the reel. The tube for carrying the rid is a nice touch. Allready loaded with line and 3 flys you are ready to fish but I would recommend getting some more flys. Seek advice from local bait shops for venues and flys and away you go.

Very good. My only issue was that I had to change the reel from left hand wind to right hand wind & there were no instructions provided on how to do this - I had to go onto the internet. But it provides an opportunity for someone to start fly fishing at a very reasonable cost.
