Best game ever
Just played this game with my fiancé, my sister and her boyfriend, and my parents. The game was absolutely hilarious. We had a lot of fun, and the game is so short, we were able to fit three rounds of it in between dinner and an activity we were doing that evening. I can't imagine a better short party game. It got everyone laughing and takes thirty seconds to teach.

Fun and easy game
I bought this to try for a 'Birds-and-Brew' trip that I co-led. After trying and failing to play Wingspan several times, I was looking for an easy game to play at a brewery after our birding trip. It was awesome - after an afternoon of birding, our group sat outside at the brewery. I'm sure the other patrons thought we were crazy as we vocalized bird calls to identify 'mates'! Lots of fun.

CALLING all card game lovers
This game is perfect for a fun group get-together. You are competing with your friends to match bird calls, all at once, no turns. Once you match your bird call with someone else, you score a point and move on to other bird calls. Fast-paced, well-designed and HILARIOUS.

Highly interactive, raucous game for families and friends
This is a review of an Amazon Vine product. That said, I try to be honest and open in all my reviews.(Please see the enclosed pictures.)Summary: Bird Call is a game for 3-8 players, ages 7+, from Niche Nation Games that lasts 3-10 minutes.Bottom-line, Up-front - this is a highly interactive, raucous game for families and friends that don't mind making some fun noise together. The rules are relatively simple. The idea is to score cards by matching the bird noises that another player is making. The cards (containing a bird's name and the sounds they make) are thoroughly shuffled. Then, three cards are dealt to each player. The rest of the cards are spread in a pile on the table in easy reach of everyone. The leader says, "go!" And, the madness/fun begins. Each player looks at his or her three cards and selects one and starts making the bird sounds shown on the card. If the player can find a matching player, they show each other their cards to confirm that they both have the same bird shown, and then, each player places their bird card in their scoring pile.If there are any cards available in the center pile, each scoring player takes a new card. All of this is occurring in real-time, simultaneously. The round ends when there are no more cards left in the center of the table. The person with the most bird cards in his or her scoring pile wins.A few clarifications based on the official rules, which were clearly play-tested, are:Scoring occurs only in pairs. If three people are calling out the same sounds, only two of them can match and score. If the players mistakenly match, those cards are discarded into the center pile and new ones drawn. You may discard your card into the center pile at any point and exchange for a new one.In practice, we had a lot of ties. Also, our younger players had a little struggle keeping their scoring pile separate from the huge, tempting pile of anonymous cards liberally spread in the middle of the table. On to the Dr Games’ Criteria …GO/NO GO Criterion• Complexity: (GO) This is a simple game, and it is very similar in play to Happy Salmon, or any of a dozen matching, family games. It helps if the players can read, but a helpful older player can also teach the younger ones the sounds even if the little angel cannot read themselves.• Balanced: (GO) The game is balanced though it certainly favors the more aggressive players.• Chance (GO) There is chance associated with the random cards you receive.• Clarity: (GO) The rules were clear, and the additional rules were a nice touch, again, demonstrating that this game was thoroughly play tested.• Reasonable Time: (GO) The game says 5 minutes, but we found that the range was 3-10 minutes. This is a game where things slowed down a bit the longer we played.Bonus Criteria• Social: The game is social and likes and dislikes can come into play. This is a game we found best played with adults and kids to prevent hard feelings between older and younger siblings and friends.• Unique/Interesting Mechanics: It is fun to learn the different bird sounds/calls.• Informed: You can learn about different bird sounds.• Rewards Throughout: Yes, once you have captured a bird, it cannot be taken away.• House Rules: We said that scoring piles were to every player's left, and the cards were clearly face up to distinguish the scoring piles from the draw pile. (If you notice a little, eager beaver taking cards from the middle *and* turning them face up, you can take gentle action.)
