They are a little on the stiff side, but they seem to be holding up so far. I’m not sure they will handle anything that may be a little sharp, or too heavy, but for the price and amount they seem good.

I’m impressed with these garbage bags. They have a subtle scent which is not overpowering at all. They fit a 12-gallon can perfectly which is a plus as the last named brand that I bought kept slipping off and falling into the can. These do NOT do that, even after holding quite a bit of garbage! And durability? YES! They’re strong; much stronger than the usual name brands which are flimsy and rip. These will NOT rip on you! Definitely going to buy these on a subscription basis.

This is my first try using Amazon Basics 13 Gallon Tall Kitchen Trash Bags. My most recent experience with Glad tall kitchen bags was so negative, with nearly every one tearing apart, that I actually called their customer service number to complain. And at 53 years old, I can probably count on one hand how many times I have done something like that.The Amazon Basics bags are very thick compared to Glad bags. They are nice and sturdy as you place them in the can. My flip-top kitchen bin requires you to twist the bag tight around the top, and then tuck the extra into a little catch. That was a little more of a trick with these bags, but no big deal. Size-wise I think they are a little bit bigger than the Glad bags as well, or at least the dimensions felt that way.Single-use plastic packaging is a disaster. It cannot and is not reused by industry. Sadly, most plastic placed into the recycle bin by Americans just ends up in the landfill anyway. Except for milk jugs, which are recycled into plastic grocery bags, very little else is used. I was happy to see that these Amazon bags contain 10% post-consumer plastic waste. Not a lot, but at least it is something.
