Dance: 70s Groove

I absolutely love this compilation. It is great value-for-money and rounds up a whole host of 70s 12 inch mixes. Highlights for me are 'Hang It Up' by Patrice Rushen, 'What A Fool Believes' by Doobie Brothers and 'Dancer' by Gino Soccio. These three songs alone for me make it worth the price of the CD. There's also a continuous mix if you get the MP3 or AutoRip versions of the album. I love late 1970s disco and funk, particularly music from 1979 which is really well represented here. Exceptional.

There is so much fantastic music on this collection. If you love dance music from the seventies funk style with rhythm, melody, full orchestra, great singing this is for you. I adore this this album. The music is fresh now as they day it was made.

It is an excellent compilation. I mainly bought it as most of these songs are remastered and sounds better than my previous cd's. Highlights here are Narada; Chic, Sister Sledge, Gino Soccio, Ckaka Khan, George Benson. I am very keen on Disco, R&B and funk and this is a good collection. The missing star is because of the cardboard packaging and the tight information of the songs. Some compilations give more information and that is always welcome. For those interested in the hidden gems check "Get Up And Boogie"by Freddie James and "Street Player" by Chicago.

Bought this for my birthday party, but didn't like the tracks as much as the 80s Groove, which I also bought. Will upload to iTunes and pick the best tracks for a play list. Still well worth the money though

This is a great compilation that eschews the more immediate choices and usual suspects, and digs a little deeper. There's a nice balance of seventies dance music, of which a large slice can't even be labelled 'disco' as it's jazzy, soulful and funky. However, there are a couple of slppy mastering faults, the worst of which is at the end of Rose Royce's track you get about a second of another track! It wouldn't be so bad if this was the following track on this compilation, but it isn't!

Great 70's compilation a must for disco dancing diva's and divo's out there. Sound quality is very good and contains the classic 12" singles by Chic, Chaka Khan and Sister sledge to name just a few.

Great collection of 12" mixes from the seventies.It really nice that the compiler hasn't been lazy and just gone for the usual songs and has included lesser known tracks.

Great collection of Disco classics. There are songs on these CD's I had forgotten about. This 3 CD set was priced extremely low so wasn't too sure about the quality. The sound quality is fantastic & most of the songs are the extended versions. Will be looking for more box sets like this one. Very pleased with this purchase!
