This is great quality ,I got it as my daughter's high sleeper has metal steps and they can be uncomfortable for her to climb. It was easy to install I cut them to size and using the adhesive backing they stuck really well to the steps. She finds it a lot more comfortable now to climb in and out of bed. I used the remaining what was leftnto do the side rail of the bed and it applied perfectly.this is a great solution for high or mid sleeper beds that have uncomfortable steps.

These foam pads have multipurpose of use but the most popular is for the step ladders on bunk beds. My daughter has a bunk bed with the desk underneath. The steps are metal and hardn and cold to touch by bare foot. I decided to apply this foam on these steps but my daughter reject this idea. The metal steps are narrower than this sponge padding but it can be cut to size. She just doesn't like this colour as her bunk bed is in grey. I said, oh well, will use it for other things, maybe on the edge of my ottoman bed which usually hurt my calves when coming out of the bed.. I will see.The sticky backingbof this foam seems be up to the job. But if the surface is not that smooth, them I would use hear dryer to warm the sponge padding a bit right before application. This should help.If something has been pressing this foam for even short time, it gets deformed a bit, see edge of this padding. This doesn't look so good but once we apply it somewhere, nothing will compress this sponge that way.All in all, I think it's good stuff. But just 2.1m is not much. I would need to cut it on half and then apply it on both sides of my ottoman bed.
