Hello, use the screwdriver to screw it apart, then the bracket screw through the hole, adjust thickness, re-screw the screw.

Q: Can I plug it into another power strip?

Sure. That's what I done! Just make sure you do not ovrload the fuse which may be 15 amp or even 20 amp.
