The Cicero Trilogy

Bought as a birthday present. I have read this very large trilogy and know it will be loved by the recipient of the book.

Book came in perfect condition. Very happy with product.

Penguin decided to publish the book spine glued together rather than sewn. As a result, it takes considerable strength to keep the book open, since the glue binding is so rigid the book constantly wants to close. My thumbs are tightly holding each page and after 15 mins of reading, they're actually in pain! I've lost my page so many times because the book's pages slipped out from under my thumbs and closed on me even when holding it tight.

Grandson said it was brilliant

I am only 2/3 through the book - but so far I am gripped. Not only is it an intriguing story but has so many elements that echo today's political life. One can see parallels of political behaviour to when A. Lincoln was president, when a coup was hatched against FDR, to behaviour under the Trump administration, and many other historical political events. Not an answer to current problems but informative and instructive. I like to try and understand how politicians tick, how politics works, and how public policy is developed. I would also say I thinkit is extremely well written, though I am not an expert in these matters.
