Good quality. Fits an 10.5 ft hammock stand perfectly.
Had to return a 13 ft hammock because it almost touched the ground. This one is shorter, and fits perfectly. Decent quality for the price, too. Spacing of braids is consistent and the edges are triple-braided. That's a nice touch.

Loose Weave, Need Longer Chain
Overall, this hammock is exactly what I wanted. It has a loose cotton weave, but not so loose as to cause any stability issues. Other reviewers cautioned against the weave being too loose. I don't agree. I think it is fairly standard for a rope hammock. I would have rated it a 5 except that my hammock stand needs at least 18 inches of chain on either side of the hammock and the hammock comes with about 12 inches on either side. This was nothing that a couple of s hooks and extra chain couldn't fix. Fortunately, I had both in my supplies. Just be aware that you may be making a trip to your local home and garden supplier for extra supplies if you are using a hammock stand.

The rope doesn’t stay in place
Every time I use it, huge holes are created so it’s not comfortable. I have to brush the rope with my fingers to try to even out the holes but it doesn’t work well. Very bad design.

Third hammock like this
This is a bit shorter than the previous model but still big enough for two to sit cross wise. Very strong.

clarifying hammock length
The old hammock I was replacing fit on a 14’ wide stand when hooked by the large rings at the end of the ropes. I thought I needed a 14’ long hammock, where “hammock” referred to the ring-to-ring distance and didn’t include whatever attachment hardware that might be included. This company was the only one I found that advertised a hammock as 14’ so I bought it, only to find that the 14’ length included the chains. At first, I felt totally conned, as the website never commits to what exactly the 14’ length means. One picture does show chains but I thought common sense would say that a hammock length does not include the lengths of some arbitrary chain attachments. (Otherwise, a hammock that was just 4’ from ring to ring, with a 5’ chain included on each end could also be advertised as 14’.)Lessons learned: Most large hammocks have a “bed”, between the bars, with a length of about 82”. That’s all that really matters. Distances of 10’, 12’, 14’ or whatever only apply to attachment scenarios, which certainly matter, but don’t affect the actual hammock’s length. I never did find a product with a hammock (true) length greater than 82”. Turns out my (very) old hammock had long ago stretched to the point of not needing any mounting hardware to fit the 14’ stand. I cancelled the return I was planning. Yes, I was conned, but hopefully it won’t matter. The black wood stain/paint could have used another coat, as the wood color shows through in places and the two bars look quite different (photos). The finish is also scratched and scuffed in several places, but it seems to be good functionally.
