The first flood light would not fully charge and is being returned. Amazon quickly sent a replacement which is working properly. Our barn is 36' wide and the light is mounted 12' above the ground. At that height the light throws a beam over 40' wide and 12' deep, adjusted to a 40 degree projection angle. The light illuminates automatically just before dark falls and stays on beyond the solar sunrise: The lamp faces directly south and the sensor is not exposed to light immediately upon sunrise. The lamp appears to be as bright in the morning as it was when first activated at night. We have been blessed with two sunny days since installation and do not know yet how the lamp will fare without exposure when clouds block the sun. The remote control was used only once to set the lamp to automatic and has not been used since. I am going to give this another week or so to test and may purchase more of these items to place on our property. The mounting hardware provided with the kit was subpar for my purposes and I purchased stainless steel nuts, bolts and lock washers to secure the solar panel to the bracket.l Lag screws were used to secure the brackets of both the panel and lamp to the wooden barn and the charging cable was coiled and secured it to the solar panel bracket with tie wraps. The instructions were insufficient but connecting and mounting the system is essentially intuitive. The lamp has a weather-tight screw fitting that attaches to the solar panel. Be aware the lamp battery requires at least 8 full hours of direct sunlight to fully charge. Also note the panel tilt should be equal to your latitude, plus 15 degrees in winter, or minus 15 degrees in summer. I used a Wixley digital angle gauge to find the correct angle. So far so good.

I bought this light in October and installed it a couple weeks after I'd received it. It's a great light--not one of those cheap things made out of plastic with a cheap solar panel. This thing has a solid aluminum light housing and a good quality solar panel that's pretty large inside an aluminum frame and sealed in a glass panel. Installed it and it works great. Lights up an area just as I needed. After a month or so I noticed that some water is condensing inside the housing on the glass. It was about a month out of the Amazon 30 day return period. I sent an email to the seller and explained the issue and they shot a replacement out to me immediately, no questions asked other than about what the issue was. I highly recommend this light from this seller.

The product arrived several weeks later, and with a broken remote. The seller exchanged the remote (which added another 2 weeks), so at the end after 3 months I have the product ready to use, it was actually very bright and working fine. However, my review is not about the shipping delay, but the product itself. After actual usage of less than a month (initially it stayed on from 7pm to 7am), it started gradually to stay on less and less until it does no longer turn on. The solar panlel is peeling off at the back (not affecting the solar cells), so I tested it and confirm they give around 11.2 dc volts. However, when I inspected the light itself, I noticed some moisture inside, but when looking closer, it actually has lot of water (with oxide residues), that is noticeable when you shake it. So it was good only for a month, now looking to work with Amazon in how to return this.12/14/2018 update: Seller did not agree to return and full refund, but exchanged the lamp, so I increased from 1 to 3 stars. I have added clear silicone to all the glass edges, so hopefully this will make it water proof; I will update the review in 1.5 - 2 months.1/2/2019 update: lamp exchange arrived quickly, and was apparently working fine. However, I inspected the lamp again today, and need to update the rating back to 1 star, as there is already lots of moisture/water inside, regardless that I had previously applied silicone to all glass edges. I am located in South East FL where is sunny and humid.

The media could not be loaded. I didn’t believe of the solar lights till I had this flood light . Very easy to install and The light is very bright and lighting all my back yard for almost most of the night time . I loved the remote controlled function but I have to be very closed to control the light . Very good size of the solar panel charging the light batteries all day then the light turned on automatically when the sundown. It’s will save me a lot of money for the long term.

Ordered a pair of these in November of 2018, so far, one still works. The other one quit working altogether about 3 months after installation and never really worked as well as my other. Was hoping to buy a few more but will not buy this brand again as 1 out of 2 products working is not good at all.That said, the working one is VERY bright and stayed on all night long in the months of 10 or more hours of daylight. It does not have to be full sunlight for them to charge, cloudy days work too.Only downfall I can find with the working one is.... The remote is simple, easy to use but you need to be close to the light for the IR to receive the signal, 15' max remote range. A bit annoying if you want to turn them on by standing off your porch/deck and that isn't an option. Also, hardware for installation is very cheap, recommend taking all assorted hardware to the hardware store and exchanging them for stainless or something that won't rust after 6 months.If you get a working one, you'll be happy and impressed with the light this solar powered one can produce.

I like the design and quality of this light, it is built like a tank. The only downside is the remote range. If you want to operate it via remote at more than 30-35 feet, forget about it. The remote is like a TV remote and uses IR (probably to avoid FCC regulations). So that lets you turn it on at say, 30 ft - but then the light itself blocks the remote signal and you can only turn it off from much closer (10 ft or less for me). There's a huge difference in range between daytime and night time too, as ambient lighting will interfere with how far your IR can be seen. If they ever change the remote over to radio waves unaffected by the light itself or ambient lighting, it will turn a good product into a truly outstanding one.

The light's themselves are great and the panels easy to install. The problem is the remote barely works, there are no instructions (some came but for a different remote) and the lights just come on at dark with no way to control that that we can figure out. I wanted to be able to turn on and off as I used them.

This Flood light ran perfectly for 3 weeks then promptly died and no matter what button I hit on the remote or how long the solar panel was in the sun, the light would not come on at night.When I contacted the seller (Bernie Max) they indicated "they only provide 7 days full refund after purchase and 18 months warranty but not full refund". They also suggested I contact amazon to deal with the issue if I would not accept their refund of only 60% of the original cost.So just some advice to others looking at this product, I may have gotten a defective product and the light is ok but choose your seller wisely in case you have trouble. As it turned out, Amazon allowed the light to be returned even though the dealings with Bernie Max took me outside of the return window.(thanks Amazon)

Also, I didn't test it with a precision tool, but the lighting was clearly not 11,000 lumens. I compared it with a model that gives 5000 lumens and it was the same lighting. So all the information in this article does not seem reliable. I do not recommend purchasing items from this supplier.
