Great design and helps with wrist drop
This is being used for family member with wrist drop. It is quite comfortable and is being used for longer periods and even at night time while sleeping. There are 4 straps that go on forearm, wrist, palm and finger which are fastened with Velcro straps. The fingers and wrists are held in position which greatly helps in alleviating the pain. The splint is lightweight and made of breathable fabric which makes it comfortable.Excellent design and well thought out product. 5-stars and recommended.

Not suitable for my needs
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Looked like it would work for me as I recover from a broken arm with radial nerve issues. When it arrived, I realized it wasn't what my OT had recommended.

Strong metal splint
I have radial nerve damage as well as a displaced ulna due to botched surgeries. The ulnar displacement makes it difficult to wear any type of brace. That said, this style should work well for those seeking to mitigate radial nerve issues. The brace is a thick piece of metal encased by 1/4 inch foam on both sides and placed inside a zippered outer cover. The zipper cover is useful for removing the splint to wash the fabric, though it’s not the easiest task. Four lengthy straps are used to secure the brace to your arm, letting you tighten or loosen the fit as needed. There is an elastic band stitched to the fabric, forming four finger slots - this is different from other braces that have a single elastic band where your fingers slide in all together, rather than individually. That is pretty comfortable, though it restricts the movement of my pinky while my other fingers are free to bend at the middle joint. It’s a personal preference whether you like that fit or not. It allows relatively free movement of the fingers so you have at least some movement and use of them. Brace should work well for its indicated purpose.

Sturdy Hand Brace
This brace makes sure that the hand can not move. It does not however stop the fingers from moving. It is an excellent design for what it is made for. Makes a big difference for someone with radial nerve damage.
