Enter the silent mountain
On the one hand I don't want to use any words in this review, but seeing as I am unable to draw, I must say that number 21 of the G.I Joe series stands out as one of Larry Hama's masterpieces. Using no dialogue and few words, this is the first hint at a link between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, indicated by the tattoo of the I-Ching hexagram on their arms. Brilliant! Emotionally powerful, full of action and even tenderness, this is one of best. And with Hama's sketches and commentary, and the hardcover, it's a must have. ENJOY!I wish numbers 26 and 27 would be given similar treatments.

They also hated to read (thank goodness they grew out of that
Was a gift for my stepson, who was obsessed with G I Joe as a child. They also hated to read (thank goodness they grew out of that!). So I gave this "picture" book as a 40th birthday present. They loved it - and appreciated the humor. No reading required!! :)

Ultimate edition of the silent classic.
The 30th anniversary edition of Silent Interlude is the ultimate version of the classic GI Joe: A real American Hero #21 by the legendary Larry Hama. This beautiful hard back presents the classic silent issue with updated coloring. It looks absolutely great. There is also an excellent introduction and history added as well as MR. Hama's original art breakdowns. If you are a fan of the GI Joe comic you will love this edition.

Glad to have a fresh copy that's not all yellowed ...
I was incredibly inspired by the artistry of this story when I was a kid. Seriously, my mind was blown. Glad to have a fresh copy that's not all yellowed and dog-eared. The behind-the-scenes stuff is great, as are the other supplementals.

Should have had images of the inked pages instead of a new comic added
It's issue 21, how could you go wrong!! I will say they should have added the completed inks only of the comic instead of a brand new comic at the end. It is a book about that fantastic comic after all so why not dedicate the entire book to just that issue.
