My mistake much better than I first thought.
Wrote a negative review stating it was defective, in reality I was defective and failed to follow simple instructions. Once I corrected my error by removing the piece of cellophane, I had dropped into the battery compartment the unit power right up (as per instructions) unit work remarkably well. For the price well worth purchase.
