Amazon Rview: Read through to get to the Asus RT-BE88U....This review will most likely not get posted. I purchased the Netgear RS700S as "refurbished," which generally means that it was returned and some how repaired (or at least double check to make sure it is working per manufacturer specs). It was not. Router would continuously drop signal. So it appears that Amazon just repackaged it and sold it, as is.Router Review:1. Administrator menu is very limited on what you can do.2. When accessing the router's admin menu, it times you out after about 15-20 seconds while your trying to read the documentation for settings. You must re-sign in EVERY SINGLE TIME!3. You can NOT change the admin user name. You must use "admin." Without the ability to change the admin name Netgear reduced your router access security by 50%.4. In order to gain access to the needed security for the router, you MUST pay an annual subscription!!5. Netgear customer service people are rude to you if you turn down the subscription sales pitch, and then reqest to get I.T. support on an issue. They actually hung up on me. At first I thought the over-seas phone line dropped. However, when I called back 2 or 3 times, they would not even answer the phone.CONCLUSION:I returned the RS700S for a full refund and bought an ASUS RT-BE88U router. Everything mentioned above is NOT an issue. Their admin user name can be changes, you have a huge amount of control within the admin menu (including how long you wish the menu to time-out.) NO annual subscription fees. Signals on 2.4, 5, and 6G are very solid. I have 15 devices and not one of them has ever dropped a signal. Also, reboot times are much fast than Netgear's.Great router, security, menu interface, and performance! Customer service wasn't needed because this router just WORKS!!

The media could not be loaded. The ASUS router has been an excellent upgrade for my home network. It’s fast, reliable, and packed with features that are perfect for more advanced setups. One of the standout features for me is VPN Fusion — it lets me route only specific devices or apps through a VPN while keeping others on the regular connection. That level of control is a huge win.However, while it does have built-in load balancing, I ran into issues when using it with multiple WAN connections. If one connection failed and the router switched over, it would temporarily expose my VPN traffic, which wasn’t ideal. That’s why I added a TP-Link ER605 in front of it to handle the WAN balancing. Now the ASUS sees just one stable line, and the VPN Fusion works perfectly 24/7 with no leaks or interruptions.Overall, this is a high-performance router that’s perfect for power users. The interface is clean, firmware updates are consistent, and it plays nicely with complex setups. Highly recommend!- Easy to setup- Great wifi range- Up to this date, Asus still the best router.- Asus VPN Fusion Option - Works great with OpenVPN and Wireguard- Dual WAN - Great!

I have used Asus routers for 13 years. This latest router is so powerful I removed the old netgear extenders. Wifi 7 seems to have given wireless devices full bandwidth signal. I used my previous Asus router to create a mesh network so now the grain building receives s super strong signal. Super reliable, strong signal 100% coverage.

I had family health issues plus a wedding for our son, so despite ordering this ASUS Router in May, I finally tried to install it a few days ago (about July 14th).. Unfortunately this Router is incompatible with our XFINITY Modem. The Router displays a RED (No-Internet) light every time I try.The product is still NEW and in the original box.I wish I could have Amazon/ASUS Store allow for a product RETURN, since I am living on a fixed TINY pension, and this was a LOT of money (for nothing).Please help, if YOU are with Amazon Customer Support, or with the ASUS Store on Amazon.. It says the deadline for returns was June 11th, but in my case LIFE WAS A MESS between when I made the purchase and NOW (well past the returns date).PLESE HELP.
