Insta360 GO 3S Camera Only (No Action Pod/Charger Included) - 64GB White, 4K Portable Vlogging Camera with Stabilization, Waterproof, Apple Find My & Mountable Design for POV Shots

I used the Go3 for a while with great success. I recently added this, the Go3 S, after reading about the improved specs. Especially the higher resolution was a major factor. I use this camera mainly to do vlogs and BTS while working and can't hold a camera. I use the chest mount pendant and the clip to attach it to a visor. Both options work great. The field of view is so wide that you can capture most of what is happening in front of you. I use 'free video' mode almost all the time. The camera records an extremely wide view which allows you later, using the Insta360 editing app/software, to create either a horizontal or vertical video. This feature alone is worth gold to a content creator these days. For YouTube/TV you can use horizontal, for social media, you can make a vertical video. Unlike every other camera, the vertical video is not just a crop from the horizontal, it is actually a wider version showing a wider view at the top and bottom. The resolution of the free video is up to 4000 x 3000 on the Go3 S. The older Go3 only had 2560 x 1440 using free frame. Using the editing program you can even reframe the video (within limits) to keep the action better in the shot. Audio quality is amazing. I'm really impressed how well it picks up voice. Keep in mind, this is only the camera part of it. You definitely also want to get the action pod for this camera. The reason this camera part is sold separately is for people who already own a Go3 system and just want to add the new camera part. This new Go3 S works with the old action pad. I only mention it because I saw other reviews complain it doesn't come with a charger. This is the standalone upgrade for those who already have a previous Go3.

I've purchased the last 3 of these (Go 2, 3 and now 3S). I was disappointed that the original 3 wasn't 4K as the DJI Action 2 came out before that and was 4K. Insta 360 has resolved that problem with this. It's crazy the frequency that Insta 360 keeps churning out products of late, but this is all the better for us fans. The camera is great. I love the size to be more discreet when recording people and places. The chest and head mount make it a breeze and effortless to use. I struggled to figure out why all my videos were shooting in verticle mode until I put the camera horizontally and the problem was fixed. One of the best things about Inst360 products is their in ap software or their computer software. The additional adjustments that you can make, make a big difference. I only bought the 3S camera itself as I still have the original GO3 and the camera case, which thankfully you can use with the Go 3S camera as well. Definately recommend.

bought this to replace my primary go3. bassed on information I read about its cross compatability it was a no brainer. So far everything is perfectly alligned except for the outer dimensions. I use the camera as an aciton camera on the bike and none of the mounts I have for my go3 will fit the go3s. there is a new outer grip layer that makes the camera a smarter build but adds to the over all size meaning none of the go3 go pro style mounts on the market will fit it. Ordered a pair of the Insta360 go3/go3s branded mounts form their site in hopes those mounts are cross compatable. just bummed they only come in white not black.

This camera is a joke. I order it and it takes longer than the extra paid shipping said. Then when I get the camera it doesn’t have a charger! I than order a charger and it comes from over seas and takes forever. Then I charge it and try pairing to the app, And it won’t let me because i have to update the firmware. I then call Tec support, where they inform me that I can’t update the camera because I didn’t buy the stupid “action pod”. WTF! no where anywhere does it say I have to buy the action pod to use the camera! And why in the world would you sell the camera by its self if I have to use an action pod. Now if I buy the action pod it’s going to cost more then if I bought them together. And it’s gonna have less gigs of memory and not included the accessories. This whole thing has now taken a moth! Huge waste of time!

So far first impressions are that it’s literally only the camera. Secondly the camera comes or at least mine is uncharged so I have to wait until the charger that I ordered comes in. I haven’t been able to use the camera but because of the size I feel that it’s easy to literally record everything I do however I haven’t use it yet so I’m gonna have to update this review once I get the charger. PS the charger was around 40 bucks but it doubles as a data transfer tool. I couldn’t find anywhere that says if I can still record without the housing with the monitor on it, but it looks like it has a button for recording so I think you only need the camera. WE’LL SEE.

4K is finally here and loving it. However, something I've been waiting for since the GO3, is a USB Power Mount - when the GO3s is out by itself ( which is lightweight and fun ) we only get 30-ish minutes, after that you need to stop what you do and pop the thing back into the Pod and charge( and wait Zzzz )... Funny thing is the GO2 actually had this accessory and something like this would be extremely useful in extending the shooting time until memory runs out. I urge the company to provide a version of this for the fantastic GO3s. It will make this unique camera many times more useful. Because if the GO3s has to be recharged all the time, why don't I get a GoPro to get better image quality? But you almost had it!! I hope this gadget is coming soon in the future, I am still keeping the GO3s, but for now, only 3 stars. I will change my rating if the gadget comes out. Thank you for you time reading. Now I see what people meant. Only the camera was sent. Without the accessories, the camera is useless. The pictures here clearly mark what’s in the box. None of those things arrived. I subsequently purchased the accessories kit needed. The picture and stabilizer are pretty good. But the battery life is only 30-40 minutes. That’s the part I don’t like

GO3を紛失してしまったため、最新機種のGO3Sを購入しました。 GOシリーズ初代から全機種購入していますが、今までのGOシリーズは、どの角度で撮影しても、水平が保たれた振動のない動画を撮影することができました。 ところが今回の機種は、本体を縦にして撮影してしまうと、スマホ用の縦型の動画になってしまいます。 テレビ用の横長の動画を撮影しようとしたら、横に設置しないといけません。 また、今までのような、水平を保った動画を専用ソフトで出そうとしたら、かなり画角を狭めなくてはいけません。 なので、本来あったGOシリーズとは全く違う、小さいだけの普通のカメラになってしまいました。 今までカメラをカバンに縦に取りつけ、適当に撮影していてなんの問題なかったのですが、今は横向きに設置して、できるだけ水平に気を付けて撮影しています。 GO4では、ぜひ元のコンセプトに戻って、どう撮影しても後で編集できる機種にして欲しいです。

Please, be aware that it is standalone camera only without charger. You have to buy wither Quick Reader or Action pod in order camera can be switched on. Camera itself is in good shape.
