Just Delicious
This is a really excellent product. It tastes delicious and it’s very easy to make. The fact that 20 bucks is fine with me because it’s delicious and you can make it anywhere.

Pricey but delicious
Was iffy trying this brand but it turned out to be very good. Just wish it was more affordable. The taste and texture is everything, like a normal meal. Our default is Mountain House which is very good at capturing flavor but meals tend to be mushy. This one is a solid, flavorful meal. I would get it again.

Surprising - and delicious!
I wasn’t familiar with chicken masala when I bought this meal. It’s a sweet wine that gives a delicious brown sugar and vanilla taste to the sauce. The chicken was soft and tender. It’s such good quality. I’m super impressed. I loved the pasta with this one.

Actually tastes great, big chunks of actual chicken
A delight to discover this meal, which is actually recognizable food that actually tastes good. Big chunks of proper chicken - not mushy indistinguishable ground meat like most others. Delicious umami flavor makes you actually want another bite vs. just getting it down for fuel after a long day. Excellent, distinctive stuff.

Delicious but salty
This review is for a cook-in-pouch freeze dried meal for camping by Bighorn Mountain Food. Although I am posting it on the Chicken & Mushroom Marsala with Pasta flavor, my review is actually for the Best Butter Chicken & Rice flavor, because that is the meal I actually received due to an apparent warehouse error. Since they're both Indian style meals though, I'm guessing they're fairly similar. Regardless, I have to write my review here because this was the one I ordered. Anyway, I've never had one of these meals before, so I was excited to try it. All I had to do was add water, reseal the package, and wait 15 minutes. To my amazement, after the 15 minutes I had a truly delicious looking and smelling meal. I dug in and found the meal to be far better than I ever would've expected. The rice was cooked perfectly, and there were big, tender chunks of chicken. I had one piece that had gristle, but the rest was very good. The curry-type spices were delicious. I was tempted to eat the whole pouch in one sitting, but managed to stop and save half for lunch the next day. Which brings me to the two issues I have with this product. First, it is priced at $17.95 for what would be one dinner serving or two lunch sized servings, and I could get Butter Chicken at a nice Indian restaurant for that price. So the price is a bit steep. The second, and much more significant issue, is that the Butter Chicken & Rice pouch has MORE than a day's worth of sodium. It did seem somewhat salty for my tastes, but when I checked the label I realized it's way, way more than "somewhat salty". It's actually got an unsafe level of sodium--2320 mg. They really need to reduce the sodium in this meal by close to half for it to be reasonable.

Great Taste, Big size
It was a great flavour. Lacking in vegetables, but this was the best tasting of the freezedry food I took on my hike. Portion was large too, almost enough for 2 meals.

Good tasting, good for camping, nice protein
This BIGHORN Mountain Food Chicken and Mushroom Marsala with Noodles is a freeze dried meal that is super easy to make/rehydrate. You simply add the hot water directly to the bag and wait. The food itself is really good. There are nice large chunks of chicken, lots of noodles, and the texture of everything tastes almost fresh. There is a generous amount of food in the bag which ends up being 2 large servings, and each serving has about 18g of protein, which is great for when you are on the go camping or hiking.

Very decent
This is a pretty good shelf stable meal, though, the listed expiration date is only a year or two out. I'm sure it lasts much longer than that but it's notable that they DON'T give this a 5, 10 or more year shelf life themselves.Tastes largely like a frozen meal when prepared, a lot nicer than expected but that may actually be owed to its shorter shelflife.
