So far for 17 bucks this is worth it, it works great
So I've tried just my regular steak knives in my drawer as well as my kitchen slicing knives I put a paring knife in it I put a really big butcher knife in it I just had to use a book so that way it elevated the wheel so I can get to the blade but so far that's the knives that I've tried and for 17 bucks it works great it works so much better than all my other stuff that I've bought over the years which makes me curious about that $180 one that looks exactly the same which I'm guessing is the official one how that works but so far it's easy to use the compatibility I've used with many knives so I think it's versal and so far the durability works pretty good like I've done 10 knives so far and it's still working like it's brand new so for 17 bucks just go for it. I mean it's definitely from China or some other country like that because the instructions are worded very weird but like I said $17 it's worth it

Wonderful Sharpener, Amazing Edge!
This sharpener works very well. It is simple to put a super sharp edge on a knife. I have used it on our medium sized and also large chef knife. For large knives I have found that it works best to position the magnetic block a few inches from the tip and work that area with the coarse stone for a while on both sides, then position closer to the handle and work that area. Then repeat with the fine stone on each end of the blade. And then finally position the magnetic block in the middle of the knife and more slowly work the entire edge with the fine stone. Wonderful product, thank you! 🙂

Adequate product.
Performs well but stone grade just adequate. After using, still requires a strop to finish.

Good Quality Sharpening Tool, Easy to Use
I was curious about this style of sharpener after seeing many online ads. I went for this one because it was inexpensive and had strong reviews. Kur household knives are a well used set of Henckels four star. They cut superbly but it is hard to keep a good edge on them due to their 15 degree cutting edge. After years of whipping out whetstones and guides - a time consuming sharpening process - I got a Henckels pull through sharpener. That worked pretty well for a quick home but the knives really only kept and edge for a meal's worth of cutting. This system is a big step up. It is easy to use correctly and creates a consistent edge. It isn't quite as perfect as the edge from using two or three stones but it only takes a couple minutes per knife, rather than the 15-20 minutes with the stones. I do about 25 strokes on each side with the coarse side of the roller, the. 25 strokes in each side of the knife with the fine surface. The best part is that this sharpener is taking out the nicks in the blade which routine use, and the use of a pull through sharpener, creates. The difference between the edges produced with the Henckels pull through sharpener and this one is striking, with milling marks visible but all the nicks and rough scratches on the cutting surface polished out. It is convenient. I tuned up all 8 of our knives - three chef's knives, four carving and one paring knife - in about 45 minutes.

You get what you pay for; great short term results with questionable longevity
Don't we love the good old saying: "you get what you pay for"? True in this case. This Rolling Knife Sharpener made in China is a fraction of the price of the original Germany made product. It does work and I was able to sharpen five kitchen knives very easily, quickly and to a sharp edge. But upon inspection of the grinding wheels after sharpening those five knives and comparing them to the extra grinding wheels that come with this sharpener, a lot of the grit had worn off! So while in the short term this product works great, there is a definite question as to the quality and longevity of the grinding wheels. They are easy to exchange given its magnetic fixture and there are replacement wheels in the box, but you will go through those very quickly it seems. Guess if one only sharpens in a blue moon, this works well, but if you sharpen your knives often, will run into limitations. Also, there were no ceramic discs in the box, just two metal discs with different grits. Diamond grit? Maybe... The mechanics of sharpening work well, easy to use, easy clean up, great design. Overall a recommended product but with a real caveat as to long term usability.

Effortless Knife Sharpening - A Game Changer!
I purchased the Knife Sharpener Tool Rolling Knife Sharpener Kit as a suggestion from my daughter, and I couldn’t be happier with it! We often have family dinners, and one night, while preparing a meal, I reached for a knife only to realize how dull it had become. My daughter, a sous chef, showed me how to use this sharpener, and I was amazed at how easy it was. This sharpener uses a ceramic disc system that takes care of the angle for you—just roll the knife back and forth, and that’s it! No complicated setups, no extra effort—just effortless sharpening. I have a high-end German knife set (Rheinstahl) that requires proper maintenance, and this tool makes it so simple to keep them razor-sharp without hassle. I absolutely love how convenient this is. Before, I had to rely on my daughter to sharpen my knives, but now, I can do it myself with ease. In fact, she was so impressed that she now wants one for herself! Looks like I’ll be buying her one for her birthday in August. If you’re looking for an easy, effective, and hassle-free way to keep your knives sharp, this is 100% worth it. Highly recommend!

Falls Apart After a Few Minutes of Use
This sharpener is bad from the box to the return label. The manual is poorly written and honestly kind of funny to read — not a big deal on its own, but it's a preview of the lack of attention to detail everywhere else. The inner packaging came cracked, so good luck keeping the original box intact if you ever want to use it to store the product. First few minutes, it feels great. Then the knife's base starts detaching from the magnetic block, shifting your sharpening angle. The magnet's too weak too, the blade flexes at the edges, away from the center. The real problem: the discs fall apart fast. The disc is supposed to wear the knife down, not the other way around, but here the disc gets trashed while the blade barely gets touched. Eventually the disc just stops sharpening altogether. I even cleaned it to see if that helped. It didn't. Returning it.

Back to Basics with a Touch of Nostalgia
I snagged this "Knife Sharpener Tool Rolling Knife Sharpener Kit" just yesterday as a surprise for my mom. She's the kind of cook who loves her kitchen tools seasoned with a bit of history and simplicity—no flashy, high-tech gadgets for her. Sharpening her own knives is something of a ritual, and she's always had a knack for keeping them in tip-top shape by hand. When I handed her this sharpener, her eyes lit up. The kit features both diamond and ceramic discs, blending old-school methods with a touch of modern efficiency. It's manual, which is right up her alley—she likes feeling connected to her tools, feeling every turn of the blade as it regains its edge. She dove right in, pulling out some of her favorite knives that were due for a tune-up. The sharpener itself is pretty sleek and straightforward, about 15 inches long, making it a good fit for her kitchen drawer but still sturdy enough for serious sharpening sessions. She mentioned how the handle felt secure in her grip and how satisfying it was to hear the subtle scrape of the blades getting sharper. By dinner time, she was chopping vegetables with a grin, proud of her newly sharpened knives. It’s not just a tool for her; it’s a reminder of the tactile joy of cooking.

Invest in the original
It has sanding discs which after a couple of rolls it will consume and it won’t sharpen your knife. The knife is still dull as before after a lot of time wasted trying.
