The cover is slightly larger than a standard faceplate, so due to the location of my light switch, it wouldn't fit without trimming. Luckily, that part of the cover is empty, so it was safe to trim it off with a Dremel tool. It has a switch to set a brightness or turn off completely. Works great. Now I always see where the light switch is when coming home late.

This is a very attractive light switch plate. It has variable light output based on the built in light sensor. The installation is very easy taking less than 2 minutes. I will be purchasing more in the future.

This product is what it claims to be and does not seem cheap or shoddy. The light is not as bright as I thought it would be be but I like it. There is one gotcha for installation: the contact screws on the side of the switch have to be screwed in fully. Before you laugh, many switches have two ways to connect wires: the side screws and lock holes in the back into which one can insert the wires. The holes allow faster installation, so they get used and the screws get ignored. The switches ship with the screws backed out (faster if they are used for connecting wires). However, when backed out, they are too wide for the plate. Screw them in and the plate installs easily. One other thing, this is most definitely not frustration for repackaging.

Easy install and working great. I did need to tighten up the connector flap so that it would make a firm connection to the light switch power.

My guest bathroom has the light switch in a weird place, so I wanted to get a night light switch that would help them find it. I made sure my switch had the right contacts before purchasing but I had trouble with the install- when I turned the breaker back on nothing happened. Before giving up I tried it flipped since there are 2 switches and it worked. This is less ideal, because the light shines up instead of down, but it works. Just for fun I tried it again the way it was supposed to go and it still didn't work. I tried it with the breaker on (I know, this is a big no-no) and it worked only if the plate was shifted down, but not where I could screw the screws in. So, I had to reinstall it upside down. Another annoyance with this is it shuts off if the fan is on, not only the light. We like to leave the fan on sometimes even if the light is off, so that makes this product useless. I think the price is too high for how quirky it is. Plus the instructions print is VERY small and hard to read.

Really needed a small light in hall near bathroom, bath lights shine diagonally down the hall to bedroom and bed. Being a couple of old dirts - sleep is never to be messed with. Now I turn off the lights when finished open the door and I don’t trip on the Bassett who ALWAYS sleeps there, - yeah they don’t sleep much. The thing works, pretty self described in Amo, I just thought a small usage note will do.

The connections are weak; it wouldn't stay lit. I wish this was engineered better for houses with older light switches, as I like this a lot.
