SODOLA 8-Port 10G Web Managed Switch,8X10G SFP+ Ports, Link Aggregation/QoS/VLAN/IGMP, Wall Mounted Fanless 10Gb Multi-gig Network Switch

Seems like an excellent switch so far. Working well with a mixture of 10M, 100M, 1G, 2.5G and 10G (Both SFP+ and 10GBaseT with Soldola adapter). The web interface works well and has more options than I expected (see screenshot). There are no fans and power usage is very low at only 8W idle and 16W with around 16 devices plugged in and powered on.I don't really understand the previous complaint about having to click save for settings to survive a reboot, the save button is very obvious and this is standard for nearly all managed switches (Because if you make a setting change which causes the switch to become in-acessible you can just pull the plug and plug it back in again). The switch includes rack ears and a UK plug. Highly Recommended.

Seems as good as my TP-Link switch and cost half as much. Bargain.

Bought this to replace a 10-year old TP-Link which was doing basic L2 duties: handful of VLAN's, spanning-tree, LAGG and LACP.Pros:The Sodola handles 2.5GB, and 10GB, and accepts the generic 10GB ethernet-SFP you can buy onlineCon's:LACP doesn't work as expected, cant change the type, and even LAGG gives odd results. Neither protocol does proper channel bonding.No cli access, and SNMP works but doesn't report everything.Throughput is also less than stellar once the load is piled on. The 2.5G interface groups really start to slow down when the 10GB ports are loaded with traffic.Settings in the WebUI are not always representative of realityNo support available, and no firmware updates - from 'Sodola' or the OEM 'Shenzen Hongrui hruitech.com'I returned this and picked up another TP-Link (SG3428X-M2) for the same price which does everything I need, plus L3 'lite' features like routing.

Initial review was 1 star as the device didn't remember settings on a reboot or power loss. Sodola responded and pointed out a 'Save" button located at the top. So, yes, it does 'save' settings, but it shouldn't be this difficult.1. Changed IP address and other settings to fit in with our network.2. Click "Apply', once box appears that says "Success", settings saved. Except they aren't fully saved.3. You then need to log back in with your new IP address, but don't remove the power or reboot yet.4. Once you've logged in again then head to the top of the page and click 'Save".5. A new message appears asking if you want to save the configuration to the start up state ....... WHY? Surely clicking "Apply" and getting a "Success" message back should automatically save to the start up configuration.A good product although this small annoyance lets down the initial user experience. Looking online, many people don't even know the 'Save" button exists either.

Sent with china made unfused plug. Dangerous!!!!

Products supplied in the UK should meet UK safety requirements , this unit does not meet those requirements. The plug should be appropriately fused for the power cable. There is NO fuse in the plug. The moulded plug is a “shrink” plug which does not meet UK standards. I will not be using the supplied power supply.Let’s hope the switch is better than the power supply. If amazon refuse to post this review without removing the product from sale - they should be held responsible. The power supply is a fire risk.

Devo ancora fare dei test di connettività per capire come gestisce i 2,5gbps, allo stato attuale, basandomi sui led tutte le porte dovrebbero sfruttare quella banda.Nel mio caso è collegato in cascata ad uno switch 2,5gbps managed e poi al modem.

Works as it should. Connects at 2.5gbe and all my compatible devices run at 2.5gbe and get full download and upload speeds. I would recommend this to anyone looking for this type of switch!

Ich bin positiv überrascht, wie einfach alles ist und wie direkt alles sofort funktioniert.Aufgestellt, Strom- und Netzwerkkabel angeschlossen, eingeschalten, perfektes Plug and Play.Kein Einstellen von IP-Adressen nötig, alles wird sofort erkannt und funktioniert auf Anhieb.Man spürt sofort den Unterschied zwischen 1,0 GBit und 2,5 GBit Verbindungen!

It has everything I wanted: good price, small footprint, great performance, low power and no fan.Really, there is nothing bad to say about this device and I would certainly buy another one if needed for another part of the home network.

It did what it said it would do. The installation was straightforward.
