Excellent for the price!
Because grinding wheels are more expensive I wanted to find something I could grind down larger portions of stone without significant wear on my wheel. These discs work great. Because the cost is low I can do my major grinding with the disc, then switch to finer adjustments w/ the wheel. Then I finish off w/ a Dremel and sander.

Works well, BUT...
These topper laps work well for me. I would avoid using these past about 800 grit however. The grit consistency is not very good and in the high grits I always have scratching like a lower grit which makes the higher grit pointless. If you have used more quality laps, you might find the grit level to be a bit off. For example I have an 800 grit lap that cuts more like a 400-600 if compared to a Crystalite lap. I have a 3000 grit lap that leaves random scratches like a 400-600 grit but it cuts as fast as a 3000 grit so that lap is junk and I don't use it. I have a 1000 and a 1200 that have similar issues. I recommend these laps to help save money as long as you stay under 1000 grit.

Excellent sharpening tool
I bought three of these to sharpen chisels, hand planes, and knives on my drill press. They work great. They are very high quality and look like they will last a long time if used properly. I'm going to purchase a courser grit for axes and hatchets.

It’s a bit wobbly
I wish it to be thicker and sturdy.
