Shop HO/N/Z Tiny DCC Decoder, 2-Functions 1A. Free delivery and returns on eligible orders of £20 or more. Review: This decoder does not support sound, but features all of the other capabilities one would like to have in a DCC controlled locomotive. This was my first effort at converting a DC engine to DCC. I am pleased with the result. Digitrax has a good name and reputation. The leads are quite long and there is plenty of wire there for almost any installation. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. I saw in one YouTube video covering installation of a DCC decoder, where the person wrote the programmed DCC number on the instruction sheet along with the description of the engine for future reference. Based on my experience, I would recommend this decoder to others desiring to add DCC control to their N-scale locomotive. You will need some experience soldering electric wires. The wires on the decoder are very small, obviously (smaller in diameter than a number 2 pencil lead), so some skill is needed to strip the wires of the insulation, tinning the wires, and finally making the necessary connections. Review: Blowing the dust off my old 1980s blue box equipment for the grandkids. ❤️ Updated DCC. Fast service and it works! Thank you for keeping the dream alive. ❤️

I was impressed with how small the decoder was, works really good. But whoever sodderd the wires did a bad job, 3 wires came off the decoder. I mean that's what you get for $30, but still if I didn't know how to sodder, I'd be screwed. All in all, if you get lucky with one that got assembled properly, that's great. But I would recommend having a soddering kit ready just in case. Great decoder though!!! 🫡 Put it in a dc ho 4-6-2 steam loco, runs smooth on my new dcc layout.
