Dickie Dyer 670741 Plastic Hose and Pipe Cutter 42 mm

I bought this tube cutter specifically for cutting blue plastic waterpipe, 25mm, often used for water supply in the UK. It works perfectly! The cutter is all metal, and easily cuts a clean square edge with very little effort. I found that if the cut was more than about 20mm from the end of the pipe, the pipe did not distort when cut. The blade can be removed for sharpening, but probably won't need to be for a long time.

Great value for money, nice clean cuts without distorting the pipe. Will be buying again in the future.Worth spending the money on these and not picking up one of those horrible cheap cutters instead.

A clunky, basic, cutter that really is only useful for 42mm pipe, the other size it is difficult to get a perfect clean cut.I bought these to replace some Rothenburger Rocuts that had been stolen from me, these are not anywhere near as good my old rothenburgers, I regret purchasing them.

Cuts 15mm pipe ok but it won't cut 40mm pipe even though it says it will.The ratchet is now broken and it's cost me £12 to cut only 3 times. I'm very unhappy and returning it. I can't recommend this unless you only want to cut a few pieces of 15mm.

I needed one of these as I was doing a job away from home so my normal gear was not available to me. It works on a ratchet motion which I found more difficult to use since you have to keep squeezing the handle which ain’t easy when you’re under floorboards in a restricted space. Only made 6 cuts with them and the ratchet stopped working, not as good as simple shears type cutter in my view

Ok the first time I used it. Made approximately 20 cuts of 15mm water piping.Second time I've used it, today 04/05/21Useless, will not cut 40mm piping. Just squashes it, no matter how I try.Tried cutting 15mm piping .......no good now its blunt. Very short working life.Really disappointed.

Superb quality cutters used to cut 25mm mdpe blue water pipe. Quick and easy to use with ratchet system leaving a clean cut every time. Reasonably priced highly recommended.

Purchased this pipe cutter as most only seem to crush the pipe when cutting plastic piping ,but this as done a great job and I always use now on my plumbing jobs.
