First I will call out the negatives, even though it didn't affect my rating: The Atom Promotions (seller) inspection sticker is bogus or useless. It had an impossible pack date of 2015 and inspection of 2018. Second the case was filthy. Like I said, not deal breakers.The good: you can't beat the price on these genuine Sopakco, USGI, DOD, MREs. The Julian date (7200) on the case indicates packing date of Jul 19, 2017, so these are approx a year old and match the 2020 inspection date claim. I opened several MREs and confirmed component Julian dates to be similar (Slightly earlier May-Jun 2017). As expected they taste great, though heavy on salt and sugar. Each MRE is loaded with fun stuff and accessories including heaters. I expect these to easily last 5 yrs, and are perfectly suited for any emergency. No cooking required. Inside packing says 1200-1300 cals ea. I could not eat everything in one setting.

Second time ordering a box from "Tactical NC Guys" on Prime, and am very pleased! I name the seller because I think it's worth mentioning that all sellers are not equal, even if it's the same listing. I can't attest for the other sellers of this product, but these guys delivered the real deal. I can say with certainty that "Tactical NC Guys" deliver genuine US military MRE's. First box I got was packed by Ameriqual (the 'B' case), and this one (the 'A' case) was packed by Sopakco. Pack/inspection date matched as described, and the 'Fresh-Check' label indicated fresh as well. Cheers!

The case I received was repackaged with clear tape and a single band, making the Time and Temperature Indicator useless. The outer packaging of the MREs was not uniform.They seemed to be assembled from other cases. 2 of 3 MREs had dessert items that appeared to be exposed to heat (melted Skittles, energy bar solid as a rock). The rest of the food was fine.

Two items were repackaged and some of the items were old. The date of the box was incorrect with all zeros. I'm a long time vet and while these would work in a pinch I wouldn't trust the quality.

No shopping, no kitchen, no dishes. Lot`s of food. Interesting food choices. Also this is all fully cooked food , I was travelling in 100 degree weather , I didn`t want a hot meal , I just ate the food straight from the pouch, cold.. Happy camper. Of course I did heat a few up and that was good too..when the temperature moderated.This would also be good for a day hike,in a backpack, no stove , no dishes needed..

Just what I asked for. TTI indicator is in the best condition. Tried one out and it was great. Box A has the good meals with one veggie meal. Box B only has a few good meals.

Nothing about this was as advertised. It says packed 2020 but it's all army surplus MRE packs. Menus are a few surplus army MRE components and thats it. Total and complete scam save your money for something else please for the love of God.

This is the MRE you're looking. I purchased from Western Frontier for $83 shipped and it arrived in 2 business days. As other reviews state, this is an authentic Sopakco, USGI, DOD, MRE with all the extras and a warmer. Purchased a pack date of 2017 which matched the box and package contents. I definitely feel confident purchasing more!
