This is a good Yerba mate cup/set. The cup is mate of metal with the outside printed wood grain. Holding the cup isn't too hot as the cup is insulated. There is a clear plastic lid with a slot with to either drink through or to put the metal straw. This can help keep he drink warmer for longer. There is a small cleaning brush to help with cleaning the straw.I'm pretty pleased with the cup. I really like the lid as it makes t easier/more comfortable to drink out of with a straw. It means other drinks can be using this cup if I so wish. Price wise this cup seems competitive maybe a little on the higher side. I'm pleased with it and would recommend.

Overpriced for the quality. Not real wood grain and there are cheaper alternatives of the same product out there.

Yerba mate cups are traditionally made of gourds or based on the shape of gourds, this is a slight variation and the double-walled metal cup with its wood-effect outer layer is comfortable to hold, even when filled with hot liquid. There's a clear plastic lid with a hole in it, not for drinking direct, it's in the wrong place for that, but for inserting the bombilla, the special strainer-straw spoon designed for drinking yerba mate. There's also a cleaning brush for the bombilla.I don't actually drink yerba mate but love this cup and am using it for milky spiced horchatas, amongst other hot drinks5* – A lovely set and the wood effect works very well on this shapely double-walled mug which I've repurposed. The double-walled style helps to keep the drink hot for longer but doesn't transfer the heat to the outer layer so it's comfortable to hold

Honestly, I'm not a yerba mate type. But I just really loved the design of this cup, and picked it up because the wood grain on steel look matched some of my other dishes perfectly. For me this is great for other tea and beverages that I enjoy in lieu of yerba mate use cases.I would almost not mind an extra too, as it would actually work really well as a rinse cup for my crafting needs. Very pleased with the quality, feel and aesthetics.Likes:- The aesthetic is really nice. I cannot explain how attached I have become to this little mug and the beautiful drink it holds. Originally, I thought "I probably don't need a special cup for my yerba mate, it's just tea", but I have become inexplicably attached to it and the process of making a proper mate. I am finding that I panic a little if I don't know its location. Ha ha. It truly became my favorite cup and favorite beverage from the first instance and it is a pleasure each and every time since. Simple but good mate set, that can be put in the dishwasher without worry. The double-wall mate cup is easy to hold, doesn't get hot on the outside.Bombilla straw works well, and fits through the lid opening without having to open and thread it through backwards.
