When you turn it on it also turns on the little flashlight on the back. Although I wouldn’t rely on the flashlight too much as it’s a quite weak LED.It also has a standard tripod thread hole on the back in case you need to mount this unit on something.I like using this so I can see the various EMF readings around my house and figure out where I have the most possible electromagnetic radiation accumulating. Mostly from multipole wifi devices but alot of electronics can give off EMF and you’ll need to do some reading to understand these levels and what it means for you.However, once you understand how much EMF is going on in certain spots, you can try to use various shielding abilities, and then test your EMF readings again. So that’s where one of the benefits of a meter like this comes into play.

It actually works! I was able to monitor EMF from the back of my phone, and other electronic devices.The number was lower the further away I tested.What does all this mean? And is this useful without any indication of frequency?I don't know, but at this low cost it's a start if you want to look for high EMF output devices that may be a problem.

I found the EMF meter worthy to show me where, and how much, electromagnetic energy radiates around me. The meter has basic features, no frills. Nonetheless, the meter gave readings in line with an exceptional EMF device I own. I like that the EMF meter runs on a 9v battery which was included. Ready to go!Upfront the meter is reasonable but not exceptional quality. The low cost range is appropriate. The meter does work, and it has a cool geek look, especially when scanning the unseen for ghosts. A WiFi box is the main EMF source of ghosts in my household.The button controls on the handle of the probe are relatively convenient to access. The main LED display is large and details are clear to read. I'm disappointed there's no way to connect a lanyard or wrist strap to the meter.The housing design is not tough duty, but to be fair, all monitoring instruments like this meter should always be handled with care. This meter will likely fail if dropped or jostled too much. Not a bad meter for basic readings at a low cost.

I am still learning how to use this product. It took awhile for me just to get the battery in. Lol.I read the instruction booklet, and still know nothing about this except how to read the obvious digital screen.The part that freaked me out, was as soon as I turned this on, the meter went up to 54 and stayed there.So, I am doing a bit of research on this EMF reader.It has 3 different settings, and a thermometer. It is a medium sized hand held device that has a flashing light, and a buckle for pants, lanyard or bag. It is bright orange as the picture indicates. The only difficulty is with the readings. You have to really know how to use this already or study as I am to know what your looking for.54!!?

I wanted this for ghost hunting. But so far I've just used it in my own house to see where electricity is coming from. It's possible that the outlets are haunted. Who knows.The EMF detector had several settings on it to get different measurements.I like the size of it. The screen lights up and it has a little indicator light on the wand.If you need a tool for ghost hunting, this is it. But, I'm not an electrician so, I'm not sure how effective it is finding sources of actual danger in one's home.Recommend.

Always wanted one of these so this is my first one. Came with instructions on how to use. Went around testing devices and there output. With variation between helps me know this works as it should. Its crazy the output of a microwave when it off! Great little device.

I like the style. Easy to use and hold. Perfect for ghost hunting.
