Perfect for Detailing – Powerful and Durable!
As a professional detailer, I’ve used a variety of wet/dry vacuums, but this Vacmaster Professional Wet/Dry Vac has quickly become one of my favorites. The 5.5 HP motor provides all the power I need to tackle even the toughest cleaning jobs, from wet spills to fine dust in tight areas. The 1-7/8" hose is the perfect size for getting into small spaces like vents and cupholders. The 5-gallon capacity is ideal for detailing vehicles, allowing me to clean out interiors and quickly move from job to job without constantly having to empty it. The vacuum is compact and easy to maneuver, which is crucial when working in tight spaces. It’s also pretty quiet compared to other vacuums in its class, making it easy to use in busy environments without disrupting everything around me.Pros:✔️ Powerful 5.5 HP motor makes quick work of any job✔️ 1-7/8" hose is perfect for detailed work and tight spaces✔️ 5-gallon capacity is ideal for vehicle detailing without frequent emptying✔️ Compact and durable—built to last✔️ Quiet operation compared to other vacuums in this classCons:✘ Hose length could be a little longer for large jobs, but that’s easy to work around with an extensionFinal Thoughts:If you’re a professional detailer or someone who needs a reliable, powerful vacuum for wet/dry cleaning, this is a solid choice. It’s built tough, works great for vehicle interiors, and helps me get the job done faster and more efficiently.

This vaccuum is exactly what I was looking for.
I wanted a shop vac mostly for being able to vacuum my car, but also to have something for DIY/home repair projects where vacuuming would save a lot of time over constantly sweeping up. Also wanted to have a vacuum with a decently long hose for those situations where our upright vacuum just isn't ergonomic or convenient. This thing fit the bill perfectly. I got it as an open-box special, so it was a great deal (less than $70, normally $100). I decided it was better to save money on an open box model without the wheels and then get a furniture dolly for it. That way if I'm in a situation where I don't want it to roll/move, I can just unhook the bungee cords and take it off the wheels easily. With the 5.5 peak HP motor, this thing has more suction than the pay-vacuum at our local car wash. I'm gonna get a reducing adapter for it so I can hook it up to my power tools that have a suction port. I'm also considering getting one of those carpet extractors for it. I know that it won't hold a TON of water, but I think it would hold enough for extracting seats or a vehicle carpet before having to dump it. Other than that, I won't use it for wet cleanup. But this thing truly is everything that people say it is. I haven't had any problem with mine. Saw a couple reviews where other people's tub/container cracked from the strong suction. I thought maybe I'd cut a few 1x1 wood brace pieces and put them inside the container as a brace.

Lives up to it’s name!
I’ve been researching replacement shop vacs for 6+ months since my old one finally quit after many years of loyal service. Happy to share that I definitely made the right choice buying this model! The suction power is incredible & I love that it converts to a blower. It’s lightweight, handy, and the size is perfect for my workshop & easy to store. The included attachments are great! I had to buy a diffuser separately for my old shop vac so I appreciate that this model came with one! The only thing it doesn’t have that I wish it did is a tool caddy, because I end up knocking off the large mouth attachment with the hose everytime I use it. Other than thatr than that minor annoyance, this shop vac checks all the boxes! It’s a powerful little beast of a vacuum!

great power and great size
I only have it a four for one reason, I had to buy the brush attachment. Maybe that's normal these days. This vacuum is great. Probably my best purchase of 2025. I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this. It's a bit difficult to find attachments but for now I'm managing. As far as vacuum, it's great and works as good if not better than a car wash vacuum. Today I used the blower to dry off my car. I'm in love!!!! Is it better than a dedicated blower, no but it allows me to get dual use out of the unit. I blow off sections, then I have my rag in the other hand to make it go faster. What is great is it dries the towel while I use it!!! I'm going to buy a crevice tool and rubberize it to blow off my car. Would have been really nice to have locking wheels. Besides a few down sides I love it and recommend it highly for car cleaning.

Beast - lives up to its name!
Needed a more powerful garage vac for a simple dust collection system using a Dust Stopper Pro, my current Shop Vac was just not enough at 4.5 HP. Also, space was an issue, so the smaller the unit the better. Found the Vacmaster Pro "Beast" 5 gal. 5.5 peak (no mention of running HP.). Easy setup, and very powerful suction, made my dust collector work as it should and fit where I wanted it. Even with a 30' hose I already had, it works really well. Exhaust defuser helps keeps the noise down a bit. Wheels look cheap but work fine. Oversized on/off switch very functional. The latches securing the motor head to the bottom can don't snap down tight and leave the latches just a little loose, but this does not seem to create a problem and makes for easy detachment. One desired improvement is that the hose could be more flexible and a bit longer, but no big deal. attachments are well made and useful. TIP, I cut down a Shop Vac paper pre-filter and installed over the Beast's filter to catch dust and small particles, works really well and seemingly does not affect vacuum strength at all. This will keep the unit's filter cleaner longer and much easier to clean. This also precludes me from using the large cumbersome, fold out paper filter included with the unit. I am very pleased with this unit and can recommend "The Beast" if you need a smaller, powerful vacuum
