Durable, good quality, lightweight, no nasty smells, hygienic.
I've had this mat since November 2018. Purchased from Amazon UK. I've practiced yoga on it at home, a few times a week then for the first quarter of this year twice a week in proper classes for an hour at a time until Covid Lockdown closed our gym.I use it more often than not on a smooth dry indoor surface. I wipe it down with as hot as I can stand water with some washing up liquid in it, and a micro fibre cloth at least once a week. I'm 14 stone in weight, I use it also to use a jump rope on, a half pound Cross rope, which is heavy duty and I wear trainers for this. The rest of the time I use it I am in bare feet. It's only just starting to show light wear now. When I jump rope on it, the underside sits on stone flags which I make sure is clear of stones. It slips a little when I'm jump roping but it's being clobbered with a half pound PVC coated, steel cable so I'm not surprised.I can honestly say that it is used often and gets a bit of stick from the jump rope but it's very durable considering, comfortable to use and it doesn't have a chemical smell you normally get from exercise mats. When it's cleaned it dries quickly and I roll it up and store it open to the air. The carry strap also serves as a stretch assistance strap. It's a great product and I'm puzzled at hearing about premature wear etc when I put mine through what I do and it's just fine. I highly recommend this product. I chose it because it's eco friendly, has the lines on it to help me with alignment when I'm doing yoga and it's a small family run business, and I believe in supporting such businesses as long as they bring quality products to the market.Earlier this year my wife started doing yoga with me and I bought her the same mat in a different colour. She's uses it five times a week for yoga and home training during lockdown and she loves it. It's not showing any signs of wear yet and she's had it since February 2020.Great product for a fair price.

Great mat
I never thought I would buy a yoga mat as the ones at the gym seemed fine...until I was in 'swan' pose during Bodybalance and noticed the mat I was using smelt of feet! I then thought about all the people who had used the mat before me with their sweaty feet and bodies....and straight onto Amazon for a mat of my own!Read a few reviews (not just on Amazon) and decided on this one, one each for me and hubby. There are cheaper ones but I decided on spending a bit more without spending a fortune.I've used this a few times now and am really pleased with it (hubby is too). It doesn't slip and when in down-facing dog etc your feet and hands don't slip, even if you're a bit sweaty. The alignment lines are also useful. It's also very warm so when lying down in relaxation it's lovely and warm while you're cooling down. I like to come off the mat while doing the standing strength and balancing as although this mat isn't too thick, I prefer to be on a solid floor for these poses/exercises. The mat is thick enough to be more than comfortable in all other poses without needing another mat underneath. It's also easy to clean, just a quick wipe down.We do Bodybalance 5-6 times a week so hoping these mats will last us a little while.

Great mat! A bit slippy in the beginning but ...
Great mat! A bit slippy in the beginning but its not super pronounced or anything. I was also told by a colleague that giving it a light wash would help with the slip but I was too lazy to try this :-) I just wore out that outer superficial layer that was causing slip through use. I think I've had it about 4 weeks now and I think its a really decent mat for what you pay. I'm a beginner in ashtanga yoga, I practice every day and its been really sturdy. ....I had a mat prior to this that just started to disintegrate after 3 or 4 weeks. Just bits of stuff all over the place. This has been real hardy and I've not had any wear and tear where there are lumps of the mat falling off. Its also really light and spongy enough that it gives you a firm floor underneath without being too thin. Its sort of just the right balance of light/heavy/cushioned for me. The only other negative point I would make is that it doesnt flatten totally at the beginning...the edges curl in a bit. But this hasn't interfered with my ability to practice yoga. Super mat, I would definitely recommend it for the price it is for beginners. I've no idea what a more advanced yoga student would make of it but it totally suits my needs after practicing for two months.

A lovely Yoga mat.
This is a good size yoga mat and has a useful central marking to allow for more accurate alignment of the body during some postures. Grip for both hands and feet is good. There is no smell from the surface and the texture is pleasing, not too thick to make balances difficult but cushioned enough. A good product, which also comes with two types of carry strap. I haven't used it for long enough to comment on the durability.

Love this yoga mat!
I have been using my IUGA mat for about a month now and love it! I chose it because I didn't want to pick the cheapest mat but didn't want to splurge on a really expensive one either. This mat provides the perfect amount of cushion and portability (comes with a nice, easy-to-use strap) at a great price point. It also seems to be nice and durable so far. I had read that the line down the middle helps with alignment during certain poses; part of the reason I started yoga was because I have alignment issues in my legs and feet, and I have found the line on the mat super useful for being aware of my positioning during poses. I also feel like I have the cutest mat in my class because of the little bird logo :)
