Update: 3 months non-stop on the road through Scandinavia and Europe, I'm even more in love with this shawl than before. It has been dragged through streets, stepped on, seated on, slept on, slept in, washed in every laundry condition, and abused more than ever and it is as lovely as the day I got it. The brushed jet black goes with everything, and fellow travelers were so envious that I was literally ready for anything and any weather. Love love love it.---------Where have you been all my traveling life. I will not travel without this shawl in the future. Became my blanket, dressup, coverup, constant companion on 3-month long trip. Washes in machine easily, though keep towels, zippers, and bras away when in machine with cold water, or hand washes easily. Hang dries fast, usually overnight or in a couple hours in sun.The weave is tight and only snagged once on rough building material as a crowd pushed me against. Damn, but kept going. A must for travelers male and female, so incredibly soft.

I've been scouring reviews in search of a nice travel wrap and based on the great reviews decided the HappyLuxe was the one to have. I ordered both the Jet black and the Brushed Jet Black to determine which would be best for my needs. I opened the Jet black and my first impression was that it was overpriced for really nothing more than a piece of 95/5 micro modal fabric with a serged edge. (Yes, it also has the warmer pocket but imo there's no real added value in that... in fact, it is one of the few things other reviewers complained about!) That said, if you can get past the price, it is very soft to the touch, drapes nicely and is also very lightweight- which could be a pro or con depending on what you're looking for. Also, I can't speak to how it will look/drape after washing (more on that below!).I next opened the brushed black and my immediate thought was ...THIS IS IT! It's heavier (ie warmer) than the jet black, the fabric feels amazing (cashmere like!), it drapes beautifully and other than the pocket, it's everything I hoped it would be! Worth every penny! So why the glowing review, yet 1 star?? It did not hold up to even a delicate wash and air dry! I laundered this alone, in cold water, on the "handwash" cycle in my washer and it came out of the washer looking as if it had a ruffled edge! (It was difficult to fully capture this in the attached pics but know it looks even worse on!) When I saw this I really hoped it was temporary and that it would smooth out if I laid it out flat and allowed it to air dry but that was not the case. Sadly, there's no way this can be worn as a wrap now as it just looks too sloppy. The fabric itself still feels fabulous so I guess I can still use it as a lap throw- but I could've purchased a throw for much less.

I've just tried this on in the different ways I'll be using it on a trip later this summer. It'll be perfect for the plane and over a light jacket in the evening when I need an extra layer that looks dressy. There's a pocket for an air-activated warmer which will be an added benefit on the plane. There was a problem with my first order not arriving as expected, and the owner of this business took care of it immediately.

I purchased this wrap because I wanted something thin enough to wear as a scarf but big enough to wrap up in on an airplane if I was cold.And I ended up loving this scarf for every day use. The day after it arrived, I wore it with my outfit to church.I still plan on wearing it on my trip, but my husband already complimented me on it when I wore it for the first time. If that's not a win, I don't know what is. ;-)

I can't say enough great things about this casual wrap. It was amazing on the plane, cozy and soft and the perfect comfort accessory to snuggle into as we flew across the Atlantic. Then, once we got to Paris, I wore it every day, because who knew it would be freezing cold in Paris in May? I'm definitely looking forward to wearing this next fall and winter when the weather turns chilly here in the US. If you are on the fence about buying it, do it! You won't regret it!

This wrap is lightweight, wrinkle free, but surprisingly warm at the same time. My office tends to be various temperatures in different parts of the building and this wrap is a perfect layering piece. You can wear it as a scarf, wrap, or even use it as a light blanket. It's very easy to pack- I just throw it in my tote bag and go! Delivery is very fast too. I bought the black one and love it so much I just ordered 2 more in pink and grey. The price can't be beat for the quality.

I haven't washed it yet as I just received it and wore it around the house to try it out, but I love it! The ONLY downside side is the pocket in the back for a hand warmer...I wish that wasn't there as I won't use it, and it makes it not reversible. But since that was clearly put in the description, I'm not taking any stars off for it! The fabric is soft, and will be just warm enough to wear anywhere! It's not a warm "fleecy" type of fabric, but more just to take away a slight chill. Perfect to wear as a scarf, shawl, or small blanket! Wish it came in more fashionable colors so I could order more...I'd love a white, dark grey, and maybe even red or coral!

I bought this for a trip. With airplane temps like the arctic, it really wasn’t very warm. I didn’t use the neck warmer, found it bulky for multiple flights. The size is big, which might be good for women over my 5’2” height, but I found it a hassle in the airport trying to haul bags from one terminal to another and have to manage the wrap as well. It also has more weight to it than a lot of cardigans. I put it in my checked bag on the return flight for that reason. So short trip, not too bad, long trip, not so good. On the plus side, it drapes nicely and looks good if you want it for a social occasion or office wear for air conditioning. The color is the same as the description.
