..Fantastic mobile scooter
Marvellous value for money, 24 miles to battery, uphill no probs. Tells you when pavements are uneven, double safety lock, wont start till seated, extra lock at back. headlights, 10" wheels at rear. Easy to fold and transport with handles and small wheels. Husband is 81 yrs old and loves it, basket in front if needed, plenty of leg room, comfy back rest on seat. Well worth the money, ours is called Herbie.

Many good points but a fatal flaw
The scooter is fast and has a good battery. It's very easy to lift up and collapse the seat. It has a basket which is rare for a foldable. The digital display is legendary and very easy to see and use. It has suspension making for a comfortable ride. The back of the seat could do with being more comfortable but that's a tradeoff with the scooter being foldable. The tyres are inflatable which is bad if you get a puncture but very good for comfort when going over uneven ground. The battery is removable and you can charge it while it's connected to the scooter or take the battery away to a wall outlet and charge it there. Folding and unfolding the scooter is a very simple process but the locking cover is fiddly can can be difficult to move (more on that lower down). There is one major flaw with the scooter though and that is the plastic surround on the base of the scooter. It looks nice but it prevents you from placing your feet very far in front of you. You have to be able to bend your knees nearly 90 degrees in other to fit your feet inside this scooter. In many other scooters, you don't have that restriction because you can place your feet much further forward and it would still be safe. Not so with this scooter. The plastic surround prevents you from placing your feet forward. Trying to place your feet on top of the plastic surround is definitely not safe as it's a smooth, plastic surface so doing so will risk damage to the plastic surround and the rider can easily fall off when going over uneven ground. This issue alone was reason enough for the scooter to be completely unusable. It's a huge shame that there is so much plastic at the base restricting rider foot placement. It seems that it was only added to make the scooter look nice, or perhaps it's a cheaper alternative to a more solid base.Paiseec have done a good job with the scooter but they have not though about the problem that many old people have which is that many cannot bend their knees to the extent that this scooter requires. There were a couple of smaller issues with the tiller lock - it's a manual lock which requires both a level to be moved and a locking cover to be folded over. The level is fine but the locking cover is very small and rigid and not easy to move. In cold weather, it can freeze and then you cannot use the scooter.I would be interested in Paiseec's future scooters if they can fix the plastic surround issue restricting foot placement. The plastic surround should not be there at all. I would also like to see a better locking mechanism.

Appearance and safety features of the S3 mobility scooter.
I have the Paiseec/ Glashow S3 mobility scooter. I have spent much time researching mobility scooters that fall the category of folding or boot scooters which I think the S3 fits. I have researched, on paper, some 26 different models with all their different pros and cons.In my eyes the S3 is the best looking scooter. The majority look spindly or even skeletal and fragile as opposed to the S3 which looks purposeful and sturdy. The safety features seem to be well conceived and useful. The ‘walk’ feature should be particularly useful if I have to dismount to help it over a high kerb. I have balance problems but this scooter is well built and I feel secure and safe to hold on to it while getting on or off it, confident that it will not tip over like some of the other very light weight models. The pneumatic tires allow for a smooth ride over uneven pavements, no damage to a lawn and they cope admirably with gravel courtyards.I think I have invested in the Rolls Royce of mobility scooters.George
