Be careful when handling this item. Wear gloves. It looks like some unseen but felt sharp dust particles found on the surface that can damage your skin. My fingers' skin suffered so.

Cannot review it as I received a cheap wooden pen stand instead. Might be that I should write down some notes before tackling the fire :D

Arrived on time and as described. Although I haven't had a fire to try these out, I *do* have legit professional Fire Fighters in our family who recommend these for home use. There are 4 packs of 40"x 40" blankets that can be used on liquid, grease, and biofuel fires, but NOT used on electrical fires. They can can be wrapped around a person or thrown over a fire to smother flames, and it never expires or needs to be recharged. Each pack has a one grommet centered on the top, but does NOT come with a hook like other brands include. I feel, for the price, we can always just get our own. This brand does NOT include fire resistant gloves as other companies include, but then again, for the price, one can always purchase these separately. There are two pull tabs on the base of each pack (presumably made of black nylon webbing) one uses to pull open the pack to release the blanket which needs to be unfolded to cover the fire. We purchased these for families as gifts, and so far everyone who has received them has been excited to have them. Bottom Line: For the price, convenience, and the safety they provide I highly recommend.

This one is hard to do a review on as I hope to never have to use it. I bought the 4 pack with the all but one being gifts. I hung mine up in my kitchen for kitchen use. It seems to be made well in a nice nylon pouch. It hangs on a hook with a metal grommet. I like that it has instructions printed on the pouch and it has two black nylon straps that hang below for ease of pulling the blanket out if ever needed. It makes it simple to pull out the blanket if ever needed. So, I am giving this product five stars for its packaging, clear instructions, and apparent ease of use. Hopefully it will never be needed and will just decorate the side of my kitchen cabinet.

I really like the 4 pack price; extremely affordable; a must for every home. This brand also has an industrial look to it. I like that, I had to used a lot of them from my job. Very effective to quench fire. Did I forget to mention the best price for the 4 pack.

These look to be very well made. Such a great idea. I pray that I'll never need to use one. Got this multi pack so I can put one or two in the shop, one in the kitchen and one in the RV. Now I want to get a couple jumbo versions of these as well. Couldn't give that 5th star without having used one.

A product you hope never to use, I got a couple sets to give some to friends and family. I like them for stoves and grills where you could have a fire but maybe shouldn't or might delay using a fire extinguisher (like a grease fire, or you don't want fire spray all over the kitchen). The blanket smother the fire and leaves no mess, you can always fall back to an extinguisher. These would also work well for a person like if you ignited your shirt while cooking.
