The Expanse: Origins Paperback – Illustrated, 5 April 2018

How I wish they would make more expanse. This is a nice title well presented.. Next is "the game" ....

The origins is almost a perfect addition for adding more colours and nuances on the background canvas of the Expanse universe. The comic book contains five short stories and the only problem is that the stories are not long enough. Every story is like a glimpse on the main character's Day That Made Them. Aside from the Killer storyline those days are too glimpse-ish. Anyways a must-read for the fans.

I was apprehensive about the artwork having seen a few examples, but having read it, feel vindicated to have tried it out. On the whole it fleshes out the characters and reminds us of how tough it is for them to choose their paths that lead to an incredible team. I very much enjoyed it, especially in graphic form.

I absolutely love the expanse (series and books) and I really wanted to love this more than I did. I found that it took me absolutely no time to get through it, and that I didn't really learn anything more about the characters that I really did.The story-per-character is a nice thought, but in such a short book it just becomes a bit scatter-shot, and really doesn't provide much depth.

Firstly really great art work.This is a great companion book for fans of the show, and the books. For anyone starting out on the show/books this is a good starting point.

If you love the expanse and want to know some background of the roci crew and miller its a must buy. waiting for season 4 and this has helped with that wait. including the books of course. hope them make more as i would buy in a instance.

Absolutely wonderful. But.... Not for those who haven't read the books or seen the series. The characters are closer to my imagining of the book characters than those on TV.Fantastic artwork, great characterisation, loved it! Loved it! Loved it!

It’s a book so I read it. Very good and informative.

Very ground stories and it shows sides that were not really exposed in the TV show. Very recommended if you like tje characters. It does not affect the story, ut helps to understand the characters.

I haven't finished all of the books yet, but I have watched and enjoyed the series. This graphic novel of short stories about the main characters was great. Nice insight into the early lives of the crew.

Fidèle à la série The Expanse, ce livre permet d'explorer plus en détail certains aspects des personnages principaux qui ne sont pas détaillés dans la série (en tout cas au début). Très bons scénarios et beaux dessins.

Serie stupenda, che approda anche nei fumetti, per i fan un Must Have.

This collection of origin stories is worth it for Amos' chapter alone. I've read every novel and novella, and it still provided new and interesting context that neither the books nor the short stories contained. Miller, Alex, and Naomi's are good too. Holden's doesn't really have much to offer that we didn't already know. The art is serviceable if not extraordinary. Do not read if you're faint of heart though, as some of this content can get pretty pitch black.
