Cuisinart 1-pt Wonder Ice Cream Maker

My first ice cream maker. It's small, makes less than a pint. Which is great for testing a lot of different recipes and flavors. People need to know that your mix needs to be very cold, It's best to put it in the freezer for a half hour after an overnight in the fridge before churning. Also, I found that sticking the whole thing in the fridge while churning is helpful if you have a hot kitchen (extension cord). I've had no problem pouring my cold mix into the frozen tub and then sticking the top on quickly. Also, after 25 minutes, your ice cream won't be scoopable, more like a looser soft serve. It needs to go in the freezer for a couple hours first. It's a cheap item, don't expect a professional gelato machine! I've been very happy playing around with it.

I LOVE THIS THING! I work at a high school and I brought it in to make ice cream with my students. It is so easy to use, it makes the perfect amount of ice cream, you clean it the way you would clean any other bowl so it's super easy and the ice cream tastes amazing - no freezer burn! The size of the bowl itself is so awesome although it is a bit annoying to carry my stand mixer into work.

Rubbish. If you make thick protein ice cream the lid will come off so you have to put heavy objects around it and on top of it to secure it. It only works if you are making a thin mxture of ice cream. Also, sometimes if you don' freeze the bowl for 48 hours, it will end up making watery ice cream. Just get a Creami and toss this poorly made item.

Works okay. You have to put in cold product to the bowl it comes with after that too has been frozen for some time. We will be getting different ice cream maker that gets cold itself so we can cut down on time. I just don’t think it got to a cold enough consistency of ice cream.. more like a blended smoothie with frozen berries.

Great for small batches.

For the amount of ice cream this makes I have to wonder if it is worth the effort. The tub has to be frozen for 24 hours and the ice cream mix has to be prepared anywhere from 2 to 24 hours before putting in the machine. A lot of effort to make one pint of ice cream. It does work well (ice cream comes out good) but labor intensive.

This ice cream maker works great, makes ice cream in about 20 minutes but the portion is a bit small. If its for one person, then I think the portion would be just fine but you may have to make several batches if for more than one. I used this often when we first got it and it made really good tasting ice cream, much better than store bought, since I knew what the ingredients were and there were only a couple. As long as any toppings you want to add are broken into small pieces, they will mix in just fine. I keep my base in the freezer for a quick go to when I want something cold and refreshing.

I love this ice cream maker. It makes the perfect amount of ice cream and it makes it quickly. The ice cream is delicious.
