Solid M10 Hardware for 3D-Printed Drill Attachments
I used this M10 bolt and nut set as the “core” for a 3D-printed attachment that chucks into a power drill, and it worked really well for that kind of project. The bolts are straight, threads are clean, and the 60mm length is a nice sweet spot — long enough to pass through a printed part, washers, and nut with room to spare, without feeling absurdly oversized. The 304 stainless feels solid and inspires confidence when you’re spinning it with a drill; no sketchy flex or mystery-metal vibes. The included flat and spring washers are a nice bonus. Having everything in one kit made it easier to design the print around the actual stack height (bolt head + washer + part + washer + nut). For 3D printing specifically, the tolerances were consistent enough that I could model the holes for an M10 clearance fit and have everything line up without needing to ream or force it. Only downsides: the nuts are a bit chunky, so if you’re designing a compact part or recessing them into the print, you’ll want to account for their height and outer diameter. The washers are also pretty standard thickness — fine for most uses, but if you want a really wide load spread on plastic, you might end up upgrading to larger washers later. Overall, though, for a simple, sturdy, metric hardware set to pair with a 3D-printed drill attachment, this did exactly what I needed and made the mechanical side of the project pretty painless
