This is my second scale to weigh coins and the first one (diff brand) was completely off. Once you calibrate this one, it is so accurate: A+

I bought this as a food scale to get exact measurements, but I haven't used it more than twice. It comes with a weight and is very precise, and it's pretty easy to use. However, it doesn't come with a bowl or anything to keep measured ingredients in, and it was difficult for me to find a bowl small enough to fit on the scale. Speaking of which, the scale is much tinier than I expected. Overall, it's good if you have a use for it.

I'm reviewing Meilen Gram Scale with 50g Calibration Weight, 200g Scale.I practice gong fu style tea brewing and prefer to have an accurate measurement of my leaves to get consistent results. Some of my teas are whole leaf and difficult to measure with a teaspoon, so weight is a better way to go for me. A typical kitchen scale just isn't precise enough for teas.This is a very accurate gram scale weighing to 0.01g which is exactly what I need to weigh my teas (see photo).This scale comes with a 50g calibration weight. The scale out of the box was only off by 0.04g, but still needed calibrated. The included instructions were easy to follow, and I had no problems calibrating the scale. I've used it several times since and still am getting a perfect 50.00g when placing the calibration weight on the scale.This scale looks rugged with the black plastic and orange silicone design, but don't let looks deceive you. This is a precision instrument and can be damaged with rough handling, dropping it, or placing something heavier than the 200g weight capacity on the scale.I'd have to say I'm not a huge fan of the black and orange design, but function outweighs the design by far for me (no reduction in the star rating, because the description clearly shows what this looks like).In addition to grams, this also measures weight in oz (ounces), ozt (troy ounces), dwt (pennyweight), ct (carat), and gn (grains) as well as a counting function, which I do not use.The tare function; however, is something I use since I place my tea leaves in a small bowl to measure them. I found it to function properly.The required AAA batteries were provided in the box and were easy to install.I find the current price of $16.99 to be reasonable for this precision scale. Overall, I'd say this scale exceeded my expectations, and I would buy this again.As a side note, this Meilen Gram Scale is made in China.

It’s small and easy to use. The scale has six different units, so you can measure in grams, ounces, and more. I love the backlit LCD because it’s easy to read. The tare function is super helpful for measuring ingredients without including the weight of the container. The only thing I don’t like is that it feels a bit fragile, so I’m always careful when using it. It’s a great little scale and very useful for different things.

This scale is appropriately called a pocket scale since it is small enough to fit in most pockets. It is about the same size as a cell phone with a case. The casing when closed is actually reminiscent of my cell phone case, though I would not expect this scale to survive a drop.The scale operates on 2x AAA batteries (included) and comes with a 50g calibration weight. It is possible to permanently calibrate the scale to the included weight when desired. Mine was perfectly calibrated upon receipt so calibration wasn't necessary in my case.In addition to the numerous weight unit options, this scale has the ability to count objects (assuming the objects are all of the same weight). You place a multiple of 25 of the desired object on the scale, (let's say playing cards for example) then after it learns what 25 of them weigh, you can place an arbitrary number of them on the scale and it will tell you how many. This can be useful for counting game tickets at a festival, etc.Overall this is a great buy.

This is a great little scale, I use it mostly for weighing coffee beans and tea leaves. It comes with a weight so that you can check the calibration of the scale. It's very simple and straightforward to operate.The only two minor knocks I have against it are, 1) the scale is inside a case and the clasp of the case is not othe easiest to open. So I find myself fumbling to open it sometimes. And 2) it uses removable batteries, and I guess I've just gotten used to small applicances like this being plug-in recharagable. For example, I have an inexpensive pepper mill that charges via USB-C.But other than that, no complaints. It's a pleasure to use and nice to know I'm getting the right ratio for brewing extraction..

Benötigt man jedoch Gewürze- Tee-oder Kaffee-Portionen im Grammbereich, decken solche kleinen Waagen, wie die hier angebotene, diesen Bereich ab.Es gibt natürlich noch weit mehr mögliche Anwendungsbereiche, sei es das man seine Tagesertrag der Goldwäsche; die Brillis der LAG/Freundin oder das Gewicht der Schleichfiguren seiner Enkel messen möchte.Diese Waage, hergestellt in China, lässt sich für die im jeweiligen Land verwendeten Gewichtseinheiten sowie spezielle Maßeinheiten umschalten (g/oz/ozt/dwt/ct/gn).Durch diese Umschaltmöglichkeiten kann man sich Umrechnungen aus fremdländischen Rezepten ersparen. Gut finde ich, dass ein Kalibriergewicht mitgeliefert, die Kalibrierung an sich gestaltet sich recht einfach.Angetrieben wird diese kleine Waage durch zwei AAA- Batterien, die der Lieferung beiliegen.Falls man in seiner Küche oder Wohnung generell mal die Orientierung verliert, besitzt die Waage einen Kompass, sehr hilfreich wenn man das Klo mit Hilfe einer Marschrichtungszahl aufsuchen möchte.(Was sich der Designer dabei dachte erschließt sich mir nicht mal ansatzweise)Leider immer noch nicht der Standard bei Produkten aus Fernost: die beim Verkauf eines Produktes in der EU vorgeschriebene Bedienungsanleitung in der jeweiligen Landessprache, hier ist sie vorhanden. 👍Fazit: eine kleine genaue Waage für unterschiedlichste Anwendungsbereiche.Klare Kaufempfehlung.Anmerkung:Diese Bewertung bezieht sich ausschließlich auf das mir kostenlos über das Vine-Programm zur Verfügung gestellte Produkt und spiegelt meine persönliche Erfahrung mit diesem zum Testzeitraum wieder. Also eigentlich habe ich nur eine einfache Mini-Waage aka Feinwaage testen wollen, aber mit der bekommt man mehr, als gedacht. Nebst Gewichtsmessung, welches ziemlich genau ist, sowohl das 50g Kalibriergewicht, als auch (m)ein 100er wurden absolut genau angezeigt.Zudem bietet die Waage etwas, auf das ich überhaupt nicht geachtet hatte, Stückzahl-nach-Gewicht-Messung. Ach ja, auch wenn total simple und etwas ungenau, ein Minikompass ist auch verbaut.Verarbeitung inklusive Design ist sehr gut! Die Bedienung ist ebenfalls recht intuitiv und das Display einwandfrei ablesbar, zudem gefällt mir das warme orange Display sehr sehr gut.Man bekommt exakt, was man bestellt hat und das Gerät leistet einwandfreie Arbeit.Das Teil kann ich klar weiterempfehlen und da ich nichts gefunden habe, über was ich hätte schimpfen können, gibt es die volle Punktzahl!
